Do they even clean the cars? Both exterior and interior of the car I got was very dirty. If you know what wet moldy smell is, then thats how I would describe the smell inside the car. Not worth renting from, they can’t even maintain a clean car.

Booked a Udrive and was glad the car was near but when I came close to the car passenger side window was a bit down and when I unlocked the car it smelled badly of smoke. I just hope they make a rule to not smoke inside the car because the smell of cigarette stays for a long time and its not pleasant

Utter disappointment!

I was charged a fuel penalty without any proper verification or transparent evidence being shared with me. The 50aed was no issue to be honest, I would gladly add more fuel if I really needed to but just deducting from my card and their lack professionalism really sucked.

If you’re thinking of renting a Ford Territory from Udrive, here are the real numbers — don’t believe the ads that say it’s just AED 188 per day.
So here’s the real cost of a “7-day Ford Territory rental” with Udrive: AED 1190 + 600 + 100 + 300 + 14 = AED 2204. That’s what it really costs.
I rented the car for 7 days. The ad said AED 1180 total. But once you try to book it, the price changes — even if you book for just one day, you pay AED 190, not 188. Then, when you return the car, they charge an extra mysterious AED 14. For what? No idea.

Next, they slapped me with a fine of AED 600 — without any official report, no police documents, no video proof. Just a random screenshot. On top of that, Udrive charged me an additional AED 100 for “admin fees.” Maybe that’s a fine for the fine? Who knows. I had no choice but to pay — they blocked the car, and I was stuck in a parking lot. Yes, they’ll block the car at any opportunity.

Later, they apologized and offered 3 free rental days if I deleted my previous negative review. I agreed. But surprise: they blocked the car again on the second day — apparently because of AED 300 extra kilometers. Instead of just deducting that from the free days they promised, they locked the car — with all my belongings inside.

This support staff told me I should ignore the amount that the app was showing yesterday after I paid 144 AED. I had till next day for the end of the daily rent, went to a very short ride and got charged 70 AED plus the initial 144 AED.

Be aware of the maximum 100 km per day, it really doesn’t worth this app…

Am politely here to give a negative review about U drive. I have had to bare with their un professionalism and faulty system for close to 3 years and yesterday’s Eid 10 April 2024 is when I decide to think of other options. Fore warned…… !!! car shows 149 plus taxes that you confirm with the customer service agent, later on they end up charging you more and drop it to basic mode charging you for the gas as well. 😞 U drive is an absolute joke, if possible save your money and time from using it. After paying their money they don’t maintain their cars yet charge rediculous amount, so it was my turn to get ripped off. This car said 7 seater SUV but the back sits we’re broken. (Don’t ever believe them when they say 7 seater, a night mare coming your way) When I emailed them about discounting for that faulty they said, I hope you are doing well, I am sorry for the inconvenience but unfortunately, we can’t refund or discount the amount because it appears on our system that you already have utilized our car.
Kind Regards, utilize my tiiiiii….. with such an unincovience this is broad day robbery hours after Ramadhan, what a shame !! Even after I sent them photos. Signs of a business idea at verge. Wait for your turn

Returning the car

When I wanted to return the car and park in the exact area and parking spot from which I took the car it wasn’t possible as it said it was out of the zone ( I took it from there just a few hours earlier ) no help from their customer team and no one is even there to help you after 6 pm. Bad condition of the car

I was using udrive for sometime now and never had any issue. First time I had an issue with them because the car condition was not at all good for driving and when i reported that and asked for refund they said their team did not find any problems with the car and we can not refund. I took the car for whole day and could not drive for more than 15 mins because of the condition. But when it comes to refund they said no problems with the car. Really really not happy with them at all. So before you ask for refund for something make a video of everything and then ask for it

Last time I rented a car from them, they could not find it afterwards. (Dubai is full of tall buildings, so GPS can be wonky, I get it. But also, it’s your job). I went out of my way to help them do it – I parked it in a regular parking area next to a road in a residential place.
Then they try to charge me random amounts of money almost a month after the rental, then they proceed to threaten me using rude, unheard-of language. How low can you go?

Ah, here’s one more: I got a car with a faulty engine – I called them to let them now and parked it safely. First, they wanted me to wait until their team gets there – but could not tell how long that takes. I told them not to charge my card, as the car does not work. Support said she “will put in a request” – and of course, they had the gall to charge the full day on my card.

The ‘support’ person was very strict in saying only one thing: “we have millions of customers and never make an error”
LOL. All you can read here are your errors, nothing else.

Later, the e-mail says “our team found nothing wrong” , but also “We are currently experiencing high volume of inquiries” – so sure, you are abso-f***-lutely perfect, never make a mistake, but for some reason, you get _so many complaints_, you cannot even respond to them in time.
Yes, I get it.

UPDATE 1: could if be worse? OF course! I got a call yesterday, where a gentleman explained that (despite what they wrote before) the car was indeed faulty, but they fixed it, and they would refund me 50% of the invoice. He also asked me if I can amend this review.

So I went ahead and paid their invoice. Half a day later, no refund or credit, but my account is blocked without any explanation.

Scam stay away

The company is making up invoices which never existed. First they claim the rental is 299AED per day. After leaving the car 10,5h ride (booked for daily fee). They start charging your credit card daily with random numbers. You will end up paying 3-5 times more than this. They will scam and abuse your credit card! When you call no one is answering, just a computer voice. Via E mail they just respond with copy paste texts, no one cares about you as customer. I attached the end sum of my trip and the multiple charges and charge attempts of this scam company to my account. Just stay away.

I am so disappointed and regret that I used u-drive, at first I thought it was okay until then I rent a car for 2 days which cost 199 per day the next day they charged me 224, they did not even inform you or call or text you without your permission they will deduct money from your card, and then when I locked the car on my second day they charged me 895dhs!!!!!!!! They said that I excesd the allowed kilometer, buy 895 is too much!!! Again they did not notify me they just simply desuct the money from my card! Im ending ip paying 1,319 for 2 days only!!!!! I will never use it again and will mever recommend!!

Scammed 400 for one day small sedan

I rent a car for one day they charged me three time from my credit card without my permission , in the wagon img of the trip the app closed the trip and they locked me inside the car in hot weather and charged a trip without even starting I hard hard time to call their phones not working hardly asked them to start and after starting charged another trip then by the time I finished my business they charged additional km they only limit 100 km which so little if I finish any business in dubai I ended up paying 400 AED for small sedan that is 4 times the normal rate in other shops I regret trusting app for my credit card and surely I will never use any service like that once again it’s fraud

Unreliable and unprofessional

Like many others, I generally had a good experience with UDrive until you get that one awful unforgettable painful incident that puts you off them for life. I was wrongly fined for a parking infringement and provided irrefutable proof that I hadn’t parked the car at the time of the fine. UDrive customer service refused to accept the clear and irrefutable evidence because they were just lazy and didnt want to investigate the matter further. It’s a company that cuts corners with lazy customer service who are most likely unmotivated, cars are generally dirty and neglected, which didnt bother me at first, until I realised that the company as a whole is just rotten to its core.
Avoid at all costs because it will cost you one day otherwise.

Last week I rent out a car and there was an issue on AC, As per technical support I have exchanged the car.
End of the day they have deducted amount for both car rental, saying there was no compliant for ac!!!!

In Sharjah they are not providing parking so I need to park only in free parking, as it’s not available I called customer care to enquire, as per them we need to park In free parking(katcha) and search for the free parking until you get an free parking.

I said I can pay parking amount also, they said sorry wait for the free parking.

As we gave our card detail they will deduct amount whenever they require saying some reason!!!!!

If we ask for refund from their side it will be like “”SORRY SIR WE CANNOT REFUND””

Badly maintained and dirty cars, poor customer service

My 2 experiences have shown that the cars of this company are dirty an poorly maintained. On second experience the car was not usable and it never moved an inch, still I got charged. On querying they gave credit in my account, which I cannot use since after my experiences I will not use u-drive cars again. And I wasted time at first walking to the car, accessing trying to use the car and coming back.
