Bought a year old RAM with low milage. I was told the vehicle had light damage and one rear suspension was replaced outside of RAM so the manufacturer warranty was void. Was sold a ‘premium better than manufacturer warranty’ costing 7000aed. When I picked the car up it had a low tire pressure warning. We agreed that I’d inflate the tire on way home and if it turned out to be a puncture the garage would sort it. (It turns out to be a fault with the tire pressure sensors and the garage refuses to do anything). Also during the same drive from picking up my new vehicle the ‘service airbag illuminated’ after 10 minutes. I immediately told the salesman and the garage has done absolute nothing to get it fixed. It gets better! 5 days after driving the car the vehicle developed a problem with the rear differential with multiple fault lights. ZERO help from The Car People. Was given a managers email and have had one email back stating they would look into the history of the car. Nothing since. Has now been 2 weeks and the garage refuses to reply to my emails and the showroom can’t help me. May I also add that the warranty I was sold wasn’t given to me when I picked it up. I was given the basic warranty which I signed. When I finally got the correct warranty booklet it stated it wouldn’t come into affect for 1 month after I bought the car and the maximum claim allowed is 10000aed! None of this was disclosed to me. DO NOT go near this garage. So far the vehicle has cost me 27,000aed in repairs and I’ve driven it for 400km. The garage is unwilling to help as they claim on the website.

Bought a BMW and I reported a noise problem literally after the drive home. The Car People refused to accept any responsibility. Seems they have many high mileage cars that look in good condition, but mine had a serious problem underneath. They inspected and said no problem. I had it inspected independently and the agent said they would 100% be aware – obvious differential leak which was causing the noise, leading to a replacement being required. Avoid and do not be fooled by what was initially a pleasant sales experience. No

What a horrible experience- very lengthy. Deposit was requested to keep owner from selling. After 2 months of dealing with Carpeople and Bank, we still had not received our car. Application was accepted and signature was continually denied for no reason. We needed a car and decided to lease instead of purchase because of all the issues with dealing with a 2nd hand shop (carpeople). we requested our deposit back of $3000 dirhams after continually running into issues. and they said they couldn’t give us our deposit because they could have sold the vehicle. We bent over backwards to make the deal but they couldn’t provide us with OUR money, with issues that were out of our control. Scam…don’t do business with them!!!
