    Established in 2008, Star Football Academy has grown to become one of the most trusted private football academies in the UAE for children aged 18 months to 16 years old. Sessions are conducted on weekdays after school hours and on the weekend in a safe, fun environment across three locations in Dubai and Sharjah. Star Football Academy prides itself on the quality instruction and UEFA qualified and certified coaches who help children develop their skillsand maximize their personal, social,
    technical and tactical development. The different programs cover all aspects of the chosen sport by incorporating technical skills with tactical thinking, small-sided games, and team building. Star football academy is proud of its philosophy and style of possession game, which our coaches and players live and breathe during our football sessions or friendly games. Our belief is that all players can succeed in football
    and we have a program that differentiates the children according to their age and level.

    Situational dealing – Medical emergency

    Sharing my recent experience with Star football academy.
    On 28th Jan 2023, despite of off & on heavy rains in UAE , they scheduled a football tournament at 6 pm in Sharjah Wanderers Club.
    Coaches were inconsiderate and though the grass was slippery, they didn’t instruct kids not to push each other. Coach Gabriel was encouraging the kids to push pull or do whatever possible to do a goal.
    In that messy situation, my son was pushed and had nasty wrist injury with both bones of forearm protruding out.
    To my surprise, there was no one in the team trained to do crepe bandage/ splint / first aid. They do not even keep ice, water bottles with them.
    Have a look at the picture attached- star academy staff randomly wrapped some old bandage with no clips ! And used a twig of tree ( looks like) as support ( which is always given below the injury site- here they put it above, which probably did more damage !!!)
    The boy who pushed was nowhere in sight… and everyone became blindfolded to what had just happened..
    My son had to be shifted in ambulance and rushed to hospital in emergency, where he underwent a major surgery under General anesthesia for 2 hours!!
    I am totally disappointed and sad on our interaction with Star academy.
    Unprofessional attitude / not trained to give any first aid or handle medical emergencies

    We discontinued Star Football

    We wasted money in pretext of “absence” when my family had COVID. Their admin expected that we family would find time all the week to inform everybody else. All the academies adjusted without any issue except Star Football and they makes absent meaning that we loose money.
    Talking to them was dishonourable, painful.
    Will never look back to Stat Football.
