Extremely disappointing

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional service from Speedy Drive.
First of all, they failed to deliver the car twice despite confirmed bookings. I needed the car at the airport and waited for almost two hours, but the car never arrived. I was stranded at the airport with my pregnant wife, and when I followed up, they casually said there was a miscommunication regarding the arrival date.
The very next day, I made another booking because I urgently needed a car to take my wife to the hospital for a regular check-up. Again, they failed to deliver the car on time, and this time the excuse was that they “forgot.”
Despite all this, I still trusted them and rented a car after two days. After completing my one-month rental, they are now charging me for vehicle pickup, even though it was never clearly mentioned to me that drop-off is free but pickup is chargeable.
Overall, this has been a terrible experience with extremely poor communication, unreliable service, and no sense of responsibility toward customers. I would not recommend Speedy Drive to anyone, especially if you need a car for something important or urgent.

Good service actually. Hassle free!

I recently rented a car from them last month with a 10-day old license, I paid no deposit and the car came in good condition, clean and the process was fairly quick. Of course, the driver was late by an hour to deliver the car but that’s understandable. I took video and pictures of the car, interior and exterior before signing which was a very good idea since at the time of returning the car the inspection guy assumed that some damage from the car was my fault.

I had a parking fine which I settled by myself with RTA directly and the billing team was a bit slow in resolving this, they charged my card for the oiutsanding bill. I called them and they refunded the money in less than a week.

I would consider using their service again.

Very Bad experience

I had a very disappointing experience with this rent-a-car company due to extremely poor customer service. They were not on time, and the process of getting the car was unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. The most concerning issue was their attempt to charge my card without providing any billing details or prior notice. ⚠️ DO NOT RENT FROM SPEEDY DRIVE — SCAMMERS WITH ZERO TRANSPARENCY ⚠️

This has been the most frustrating and dishonest experience I’ve ever had with any company. Tourists and residents — please stay away!

Let me break down everything that went wrong:

We had to change 3 cars in less than a month because every car they gave us had serious problems. It was a nightmare.
They tried to charge us for traffic fines that happened before we even rented the car! Yes — actual fines dated before our rental even started.
We contacted them several times to understand what these fines were about. They kept dodging the question, transferring us, and one of their finance guys even hung up on us. No explanation. No help. No professionalism.
Then suddenly, three days later, they say “oh yeah we’ll deduct those fines.” So they knew they were wrong — but they still tried to charge us anyway!
And it doesn’t end there:

On their website and over the phone, they told us delivery and pickup were free. But now? They want to charge us 150 AED for pickup!
When we asked why they didn’t tell us earlier, their actual answer was: “You didn’t ask.”
What kind of business is this?? No transparency, no honesty — just hidden charges and excuses.
We even asked them to come and take the car back, and — surprise, surprise — no one is answering us anymore. But they still want to add extra hidden fees and keep pushing charges we never agreed to.

The customer service? RUDE.
The billing department? Even worse — aggressive and disrespectful.
Absolutely no accountability from anyone in the company.

I deeply regret not reading the reviews before renting from them. Had I known how many people went through the same mess, I would’ve stayed far away.

To anyone reading this: avoid Speedy Drive at all costs.
They are dishonest, misleading, and completely unprofessional.
They will ruin your trip, steal your money, and treat you like a burden.
There is no integrity, no clear communication, and no respect.

Disappointing

I can only say full or negativities on this company. It is not recommendable. First don’t fall on their promotion from any channels. They will give you a very bad experience because u get the car for a cheaper price. First, they will arrange a delivery with charges. 2nd expect for 3-4 hours late delivery of your booked time. 3rd expect for cars with lots of scratches and very bad smell like a smell of the person who did not take a bath for years. Infairness they offer to replace the car but you have to go to their office to replace it. So inconvenient. 4th expect for poor customer service everything they will do as per their convenient time. Finally maybe after reading this comment expect for late issuance of deposit and charge you even more. Very disappointed. Will never ever be use this company as an option.

Beware of Speedy Rent-a-Car: Scamming Alert!

Hi everyone,
Just a heads up about a bad experience I had with Speedy Rent-a-Car. Masood, the guy who confirmed my booking, assured me that everything was set.. Never called me saying no car available or any apology. But when they didn’t show up, they told me there were no cars available. Since I was in a tight spot, they tried to upsell me on their more expensive vehicles.
Moreover,I was just going through their ratings and most of them says that they don’t return your security deposit as well. That’s real scammers. Good I didn’t fall a prey with them.
It’s not the kind of service you’d expect after confirming a booking, so just be careful if you plan to use them. I’d suggest looking elsewhere to avoid the hassle and potential scams. Stay safe, everyone!

This company should be investigated they are fraudulent and criminal in their activities. This is the worst rental company I have went with. They are unreliable. It’s been 3 months and they have not returned my security deposit. They have only returned less than half of my security deposit. Every time I try to contact them, they are unresponsive. They keep promising to have it sorted out and but they do not. Every week for the last three weeks, I’ve been calling them and they keep saying “we have told the refunds team”. They keep telling me that the bank will “look into it” and there has been a “refund issue”. Go to GOOGLE and look at the reviews as this seems to be a lot of people’s opinion.
They will not take your complaints and needs into consideration and will keep transferring you until you have no resolution. They violate their own policies and do not adhere to them. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.

I rented a Nissan Micra in pretty bad conditions.

The radio screen did not even turn on. From the day I rented I called the company, wrote them by email, WhatsApp, web forms, etc..

I got a response after insisting a lot and then nobody ever solved anything. Never anyone came or called me back to bring a solution.

I hope no one makes the mistake of renting a car here. You pay the same as a serious car rental company and the conditions are terrible.

False fine, saving debit card details without notification

I will not recommend this company to anybody! Avoid them! It looks like a fraud company! I rented a car 3 weeks ago. They sent me an email that I got a fine from Abu Dhabi police in Abu dhabi while i was at work in Dubai. When I didn’t go there and couldn’t have a fine for seat belt as I always wearing it. I contacted SPEEDY Drive customer service, saying that it’s impossible, they should check and investigate. They didn’t listen, the agent was rude and said it’s my fault I should pay because the rental company already paid the fine. Without informing me, they saved my debit card details and took money without my permission.
Avoid this company. Besides that, they told me it’s from Dubai Police fine, after i call to RTA and police I came to know it’s from Abu Dhabi. Basically, they just want to steal your money without proper investigation. Now they are saying it’s my fault, and Abu Dhabi RTA saying it’s under rental company they can’t share the details.
So it’s a circle where i can’t prove myself and get my money back. When i contacted the agent, i rented a car from they checked their navigation, which showed i didn’t go to Abu Dhabi. However, they are not placing a complaint/fine objection. And I can’t do it myself because i am a renting car from the company. They know the scheme well. I am sure they do the same to other people. Customer service is extremely rude and careless.

Please go through all the reviews before getting into this which i failed to do….

There is no option for a zero star. Or else would have given that. I strongly recommend reconsidering this company before you book through speedy drive.
Customer service is the worst. Nobody picks up the call.
No refund if you want to return the car prior to the date.
Also, please check and take a video or picture of the car in all possible angle as they are going to charge huge amount for any scratches or dent. Also insist the staff to mark the dents and scratches in their sheet of paper. I took the whole video but i missed out to take the video of just one tyre where there was a small dent. For that they charged me huge amount around AED 750.

Please make sure the car is well inspected before its handed over to you.

once they get your credit card, they will make all kind of transactions without any notification. and when you request the details, you will get half the details in an unprofessional manner.

they continued to make charges after the car was returned! without notification. and when questioned they claimed it is for collection fees and gas. the car had more case when it was received than when it was returned, and the collection fees were agreed with their representative at the time of collection that they will be taken out of the deposit.

I rented a Mitsubishi ASX from 06 to 12 sep’22. Cost was competitive but no one from Speedy Drive is bothered to return your calls or reply to emails once you return the car.
I got a parking fine even though the parking ticket was displayed on the dashboard. Told the company about it and showed them the printed ticket, yet the fine was collected from me and I was told to go to RTA for any dispute.
On the last day I met with a small accident where in the right side of the bumper got damaged and I was told by Speedy Drive to pay Dhs 1575 Insurance excess as the car had comprehensive insurance. I explained to the operations manager that it is a big amount for me and I assumed the car I rented was insured. I requested him and the staff to charge me a lesser amount but no one was ready to understand and they told me I should have asked for a fully insured car and wouldn’t have to pay any charges then.
It is the duty of the staff to tell a customer about fully insured cars and comprehensive insured cars. How will the customer know.
Even after collecting all the possible fines my file is not closed, I’ve sent several emails asking for the total Salik amount and called the billing department but no one is bothered to answer or call back.
Very bad service and zero understanding for a customer. I have yet to get my deposit refund.
Please check if the car is fully INSURED before renting which is not explained by the staff, just in case you face any untoward incident while driving.

Speedy Drive Car Rental UAE is the worst Car Rental Company in UAE. The rates are high insist on getting in a contract and trap customers. They don’t give any statement of fines and Salik. The Staff is rude and un professional. One visit to their office means 2 hours wasted. The tall staff sitting is the orner mocks customers and passes running commentry even when he is not spoken to. The arrogant staff with Tatoos is a bully. I told him that received an email from his office that my contract is over and I have come to return the car he is insisting that one month is balance and I need to pay foreclosing charges even after the Manager is telling his the contract is over the guy with Tatoo is arguing with his Manger. The guy with Tatooand the tall guy dosen’t even have minimum balance in their phones to call their service center.I had to give my phone to them to make that call. Thse who have read this message kindly donot take a rent a car from this place.

Very bad rent car company, please do not use m , a person booked for me , first he confirmed over the phone , i will give you complimentary service for pick up and drop off both ways mam , i was so stupid here did not ask on written to him . today they send me email , you need to drop off the car or will charge you 105 + VAT . when i booked car they promise me give good condition car but no they dropped car around 10:00 pm and next day i see car very bad conditions , i told them refund my money or change the car , no one ready to help me out here. sure they charged my card ready to take car back but we will not refund money , i have no choice to use that same car. now today 8 days before they send me email saying we will charge you for drop off AED 105 . person chatting with me on wtsapp , keep saying same thing and i am explaining same thing that i have been promised for complimentary drop off and pick up . but a person who’s chatting keep saying do you have anything in written , off course NO , i don’t have anything written but i am saying yes , i was promised to give me free pick up and drop off that’s the reason i have booked with you guys , otherwise i have booked any place near my area. i am asking them to give me manager number no one ready to help me out. can anyone help me out here to whom i contact here . this company just one of the poor service i have seen for everything no communication , no one ready to help , no one knows what’s happening , no one know how to give service for customer.
