Laser hair removal
I visited Silkor 11 days ago for a laser hair removal touch-up on my arms — a routine follow-up after completing a full course four years ago. The session left my left arm with severe burns: dark black marks covering the skin, active scabbing, and what appear to be Grade 1 burns. On the day it happened, I was seen by their in-house dermatologist, who conducted no proper clinical analysis — no microscopic examination of the burns, nothing. His conduct was deeply unprofessional. Silkor has since followed up asking how I’m doing, but has refused to issue a refund unless I return to see their dermatologist — with no guarantee of a refund even then. I do not feel comfortable returning to a clinic that caused this injury, and I should have every right to consult a dermatologist I trust. I am now three weeks away from a beach holiday I have been looking forward to, and I cannot expose my arm to the sun. The damage may be permanent. I came in for a simple touch-up. I left with burns. The least Silkor can do is take accountability and issue a refund — something they are refusing to do. I would strongly caution anyone considering this clinic.

Staff, doctors and therapist
The clinic has poor qualified staff, doctors, therapists and nurses, staff do not respect their clients and their time , waiting few hours to meet the doctor or therapist is normal, just to confirm how they don’t respect their patients and their time. Overbooking to be able to squeeze as many client is normal, very commercial, parking is a mess at the clinic.

I had an appointment with one of their doctors I arrived 10 minutes earlier . I waited for two hours then finally they called me for my appointment to get in. Suddenly a lady came without an appointment she had a talk with one of the receptionist who took her all the way up to wait in front of the doctor’s door so she can get in . The lady felt I was not ok with this she said I want to see the doctor only for 5 minutes and I won’t be late . I told her I’m sorry I’m here for two hours and it’s my turn to get in. Then the receptionist came she ignored the fact that it was my turn .In fact I told her if you let her get in I’m leaving the clinic. She just didn’t care and Yet the lady was allowed to see the doctor!!! This would never happen in any good clinic in Dubai. Staff has an attitude, unprofessional, disrespectful to the patients very disappointing clinic that I would never go back.

Despite living closer to a lot more clinics that do similar things, once I tried silkor in Mirdif I will never go anywhere else. Amazing staff- professional, knowledgable, friendly and an even better job with my skin that has been temperamental at best for most of my adult life.
The laser prices are expensive and while I’m happy to pay I can never manage to find an available appointment so they took 6 sessions’ payment upfront and cant find me appointments. I reckon they’re too lazy to fit people in. After complaining, they gave me an early appointment at 8am and I’m currently waiting outside the salon at 8.10am without anyone showing up – complete disregard and unprofessionalism for the customer – never happened to me anywhere in Dubai.
When I visited my sister in Dubai, she led me to this laser solution center, where the personnel was extremely competent and offered their services in a timely manner; I had a positive experience with them.
