On Friday 7th march i called them because of an issue with overheating engine they took the car and they kept it 5 days with them.
Every day they keep telling we are waiting for the parts quotation.
I told them to check also for the ac as it was not heating
In the end after they kept the car for 5 days they send me an unbelievable overpriced quotation were they put all the parts to be replaced (which i dont think its necessary they just wanted to get more profit) and with labour cost double of the price parts so i told them to return the car as i will not continue with the repairs and i will pay for the diagnosis only the amazing thing is that they charge each diagnosis separately (which i was not informed about before proceeding) so the bottom line of this experience is that i gave them my car and it sat for 5 days there and i paid 500AED for nothing

The worst service I ever had. They will be polite and down to earth in the initial service booking time and once they made you complete the payment, they will be rude, no proper answer for your queries, and once you told them that you will reveal their true face in social media they will threaten you. After cancelling the service it takes 7-10 working days to refund your money. Meanwhile booking it takes a few seconds. Such a waste fellows and services.

AT Service My Car (SMC), DUBAI

I sent Toyota Fortuner SMC for major servicing on 6 November 2023, with a promise to service for AED299 (+5 Vat) and got it back on 13 November 2023 with a whopping bill of AED 7670.88.

My car was a great condition, and I just wanted a thorough checkup. It has done just over 26,000 km. At the garage, they informed that there will be additional charges for changing air filter, AC filter and spark plugs. Then there were additional charges for oil additives and engine flush.

Later on inspection, I was informed that the car needs (i) tyre change (mind it that it has run only 26,000 km though it was 2017 model), and (ii) change of shock absorbers, both front and rear.

SMC changed both the shock absorbers, then came back to me that the rear shock absorber they have procured is faulty. So, they had to replace the new faulty one with the old one as they claim that they did not get the genuine part. SMC did promise that they have placed order for the new rear shock absorber and the time limit is 90 days by when they should expect a new shock absorber.

The car was delivered at 18:15 when it was already dark. The driver first asked the money to be paid without letting me inspect the car. The delivery report informs very little about the car condition as delivered, and the driver was in a hurry as he could not park the vehicle on truck for a long period.

The issues that I found were as follows:
i. So that there was no procedure for inspection upon delivery.
ii. Once I saw the rear of the inside of the car, all the side panels were dusty, and even the inside was not at all properly vacuumed. So obviously it was not cleaned as they claim as a task for a major servicing.
iii. The rear number plate bulb was not fixed as it was loose.
iv. There was no regular update from anyone and I had to call all the time all 7 days and several times, to find out what is happening and the delivery of the car.
v. I was promised that the car will be delivered at 9 AM and it was finally delivered at 18:15.
vi. I checked of the cost of the Yokohama tyres on google that was replaced and the price of the shock absorbers. What has been charged is almost 30% more that the market price.
vii. It took 8 days to get back my car.
viii. Other than the brand of the tyres, I was not informed of the brands of any other parts replaced.
ix. The driver came with card machine which did not work, so I had to pay in cash.
x. When I checked the inside of the car and the bonnet, nothing was clean. I shared videos to the SMC and they eventually told that I can bring my car to their service station for cleaning.
xi. Related to prices quoted, I checked on google and I find that the prices seems to be 25-35% HIGHER.

I will only know about the car performance once I drive it for at least some time. Also I will wait if they would inform me the availability of the rear shock absorber.

But is the price charges ok?

What is their reliability of having changed oil etc when the engine bay looked so dirty and unclean.

My recent story with this car service was disappointing. They didn’t do a good job with my car, and I’m not happy with their service. I Called “Service My Car” Friday at 3PM to book aircon service/repair on my Merc GLE AMG. Was told they wud look at it Saturday when the workshop opened but would pick up the car Friday evening. By Saturday noon I had had 3 conversations with two different persons. Was told they would send me a “diagnostics report” by Monday evening. Told them it’s a simple aircon issue, either the compressor is broken, system out of gas or gas is leaking. Takes maximum 5 minutes to do a pressure test and trouble shoot a car aircon in a modern car. Was told the car in the workshop and waiting to “perform diagnostics test” and I would get the report Monday evening. I kept challenging them about why it should take them 48 hours to make a “diagnostics report” on something that takes 10 mins to do – all they could do was repeating the same answers again and again like robots. I told them to return my car Saturday and was sick and tired listening to their rubbish about them needing 48 hours to do a “diagnostics report” as if they were performing brain surgery. Had I left my car with them, I would have wasted Friday to Tuesday or Wednesday before getting it back. Their people just keep lying to get cars sent to them for repairs and hiding behind some utterly ridicules “diagnostics report” which in my case would be a one or two liner; either compressor broken, no gas or gas leaking. I could have driven the car to anyone of more than 500 repair shops in Al Quoz myself and have it checked and repaired on the spot. I’d never recommend anyone to waste time on this company.

Major service for Lexus car

Upon hearing about the Ad & reviews about service my car, I would like to share my personal experience. I had booked a major service for my Lexus car on the 18th at 8am through the mobile application & the app gives two payment options – pay now or later.. I opted to pay later and assumed that the booking was done for the next day, however service booking was not done and the next day SMC did not pick the car for service nor was any follow up. When I checked the application the service was not booked for non payment , then I booked the appointment the next day then the car was picked on the 19th. Same day, the advisor updated with reports and requested for additional diagnosis to be undertaken as there was coolant leakage. After the few recommended tests, they gave me the quote to change a few parts which were very critical. As the quoted parts price- AED 3956 plus labour AED 1445 and the parts availability is only after 5 days. I requested a discount & the advisor informed me prices are fixed so I denied the quotation. I checked with lexus service center – al badia, for the same parts & they had given me a price for AED 3166 for only parts, which is 20% lower and I conveyed to SMC and later he agreed to reduce the parts cost by 20% provided i bring the parts to SMC (since parts availability was not there). I decided not to proceed with changing the parts and asked them to deliver the car back as is.

So overall the experience dealing with SMC was bad, not reliable and no customer service. I would never recommend it for sure.

Scammers, liars and not trustworthy…. If you want to waste your money, time, and deal with unprofessional technicians then choose SMC.

There’s no proof of what parts were bought/replaced or if they were genuine or not. No pictures or invoice from “official distributor” or parts “supplier” for the parts. They only share their own invoice which they can write anything in it. It does not include the official part code or name of the items.
The most critical point, the main concerns that I had with my car that I clearly mentioned on the comments while booking where never fixed or diagnosed. No agent spoke of it, nor did the health check or report even mention it. All the parts that were highlighted or needed to be replaced had nothing to do with my main concern or why I even booked a service in the first place!
It’s clear that SMC was just following a standard of services without treating every customer on a case by case basis or taking a customer’s comments into consideration.
Now I must take the car to another service center to check my main concerns as I feel I only wasted time and money with SMC.
When the complaints department and technical person called me, I asked for a refund they ignored my request. I even told them I will raise a complaint to DED consumer rights, he carelessly said go ahead do what you want.
