Very bad emergency service and unprofessional staff

This is my second very bad experience with NMC Hospital, and unfortunately I cannot recommend this hospital at all, especially for emergencies.

Last month, I visited NMC Hospital due to a severe left elbow injury. I was in extreme pain and clearly needed emergency attention. However, the staff were very rude and unprofessional. Even after explaining that I was in severe pain, they told me to wait for my turn. I waited for almost 2 hours in the emergency area, but no one helped me. I felt completely ignored and finally had no choice but to leave and go to another hospital.

At that time, I thought maybe it was just a busy day. But today proved that this is their normal behavior.

Today, my brother came from India on a visit, and suddenly his blood pressure rose dangerously. It was late night, so we were advised to go to NMC Emergency. There was no rush at all, but still the same attitude.

At the reception and nursing desk, I requested them to check his BP first because it was an emergency, and I clearly said I would complete registration immediately after. They refused and told me to do registration first, without even checking him. This shows a complete lack of basic manners and understanding of emergency care.

I then approached Dr. Precila and explained the emergency situation. She refused to check my brother, saying there was no bed available. I even suggested checking his BP on a chair, but she ignored me and walked away. I waited for about 10 minutes, but she never came back. This behavior is unacceptable for a doctor in an emergency department.

Finally, we left NMC Hospital and went to International Modern Hospital, where they immediately understood the emergency and treated my brother properly and professionally.

This is my second worst experience with NMC Hospital. The reception team and emergency staff, especially Dr. Precila, were extremely unprofessional. I also noticed clear discrimination in the way patients were treated.

I strongly advise people not to rely on NMC Hospital for emergencies. Human life should be treated with priority, not paperwork.

Terrible and Shocking Experience

We had a very shocking experience in NMC hospital Al Nahda Dubai after arriving at 8:20am via emergency with our Son Mikel. For almost 4 hours, no rooms for admission and we’re stock in emergency room with kid temperature 41°. very high AC with no blanket and nurses working sluggishly like in a supermarket. It’s worst experience in a place such as a Hospital. After few hours of frustration, the drip became to repulse out of my Son’s hand and temperature increasing one Ms. Shayni address as a nurse told us it’s normal situation over here…. Dr. Jay

The hospital is very beautiful and committed, and they are always keen to provide the required service to the fullest extent. The place is constantly clean. The meals are delicious and healthy. My sister was operated in June 12, 2023 by Dra. Madiha of NMC here in Al Nahda 2, Dubai. Before her operations she had undergone laboratory tests and MRI which she assisted us from the beginning till the operations came. The hospital are clean special the pediatric ward 325 all the staff are friend and helpful, The nurses was wonderful they are so helpful and warm hearted i was so surprised that they are really attentive even they are so tired but they still can smile purely. I have 2 nurses that surely get my attention because of the way they work and take care of all the patients. Eunice the night shift nurse he always ask me if i am ok and she always make me worm the way she talk to me. somiya the funny nurse who make sure that i will not forget all the medicine i need to take went i will be discharged she make sure all the things i requested was completed. Nmc specialist hospital said come 8pm to inject antibiotic to my partner.
We went and they refer us to nmc medical clinic.
So we arrive around 9 and we get tokken. Then our turn came around 10pm and they said there is no more insurance at that time they send us home!!!
What is this system? We need to get the medicine injected at that moment and this nurse in nmc medical is at rush to go home and keep on telling why we are late?
So embarrassing experience and if any thing happen to the patient i will not stop until they admit their faults!

07/06/2023 I went to NMC Alnadha by taking a half day from my work place due to severe fever.Once I reach to the receptionist internal medical section she ask me to wait till dr come as she was busy with the emergency ward.I hv waited more than 40minutes with severe pain no one reached me.Instead at the receiption they were laughing chatting and did there own stuff.I myself reach there and ask wt shall I do Philippines staff at the reception told me we hv nothing to do if u want u can go to emergency ward can u believe that ??one dr for the whole hospital and the way they treating to a patient in such a severe condition truly dissapointed.Also when we are calling for the reception they are transferring the call here and there and no one is giving a proper answer till we finish our credits.I am very sad to see the present condition of NMC in such a way…

Specialist Ophthalmologist – Dr. Medha Sharma not attended patient

Dr. Medha Sharma didn’t attend the patient who reached 30 minutes late of scheduled time and preferred to go home rather stating that had it would been an emergency case I would have attended. Such an arrogant behavior of her stunned me out and I wonder if she’s an Indian doctor. Where I faced may qualified doctors in India who cares for 200+ patients efficiently who all came for the day. No need of such doctors where a pharmacist can cure the patient who’s not in an emergency.

Dr. Gaurav pediatrician is not helpful to patients who walk in , he is just doing his duty within the given time frame. I called NMC to book an appointment but it fully booked, so I walked in as my kid is suffering from loose motions & vomits. He refused to even see the patient instead guided us to go Emergency to a GP Doctor. Even there I have to wait for 2 hrs then what is use of Emergency when my kid is continously vomiting and no one is there to attend. I thought NMC is one of the good hospitals but having these kinds of Doctors it is spoiling the brand name of NMC. Dr. Gaurav is available till 9 pm, but I was in the hospital at 7:50 but still refused to see my kid, this is a very bad experience and I do not recommend others to go to Emergency or NMC with out proper appointment. As it is of no use…..

Really I had a very good experience with this Nmc hospital Dubai but I can say that this experience and my satisfaction returns only to the helpful doctor basma Khalil as she supported me with my first child Dima sickness she was professional caring with great knowledge about the treatment she never hesitate I appreciated her effort much..

dissapointment

NMC in deira is quite a dissapintment. they need to educate more the receptionist as for the past two days visited them and seems like they are in no hurry to attend to you. Ohhh i saw one lady who was angry at the them the imediately she was attended to.

the worst is their pharmacy section with eight till only 3-4 till were working of them 1 till was almost empty almost all the time.

THE WORST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO

NMC in Dubai Investment park is the worst doctors I have ever been to. So careless with no urgency. I thought my girlfriend was having a heart attack and they were so lax with when I questioned what they were saying as it didn’t make sense they couldn’t even answer. Didn’t diagnose her and sent her on way and prescribed gaviscon when she didn’t even have heartburn ? Don’t think they have a brain cell between them let alone 1 degree

EXCELLENT DOCTOR ABHISHEK RATHI, VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WELL EXPERIENCED IN THE RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT. I WAS GOING THROUGH A VERY SEVERY PAIN IN MY ABDOMEN AND AFTER DOING MY ULTRASOUND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT I WAS HAVING HERNIA AND IMMEDIATELY I HAD TO UNDERGO A SURGERY.
EARLIER BEFORE MEETING THIS DOCTOR I HAD DONE MY ULTRASOUND WITH ANOTHER LADY DOCTOR IN NMC HOSPITAL, AND SHE INFORMED ME THAT I WAS HAVING GASTRIC PROBLEM. JUST IMAGINE IF I HAD TO IGNORE MY PAIN THINKING GASTRIC PROBLEM.

Shocking Customer Service

Having lived in 4 countries and visiting various medical clinics in all of them, NMC is by far the worst clinic I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with to date. Appalling customer service. Lost patient records. Absolute mess of an institution. Would certainly avoid them completely if back in UAE.

TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE – NMC AL NAHDA EMERGENCY

My brother dislocated his shoulder and was rushed to the emergency ward at NMC Al Nahda. He had to wait for 3 hours just to be seen by the doctor suffering in absolute agony. No ice pack. No pillow support for his shoulder. No feedback from the staff. No update. No compassion. No sense of urgency to administer first aid.
“Painkillers” didn’t do anything. In fact the only thing that helped was a pain reliever inhaler from the ambulance!!! The only ice pack my brother received was the first aid at the gym while waiting for the ambulance to come!!!

When we finally decided to shift to Rashid Hospital, we had already paid the discharge fees and were planning to get him into the car to leave, they charged us doctor’s fees even when no doctor had seen him yet!!!!! oh and did I mention he could hardly stand already because of the intense pain???? It was only when we said we were leaving was when the doctor showed up to help pop his shoulder back in. And of course they charged us “nicely” for this.

Not that I would want anyone to experience going into an emergency ward, but should the occasion arise, better ask the ambulance driver to avoid this black hole of a hospital.

I have contacted them for Covid PCR Test when visited UAE, as before traveling back to home country PCR was required I prefer this hospital, they are fast, they made a receipt and sent me to the test room, I have to wait there for a while and then they called me for the test. All have been perfectly.

The most well-experienced doctor I’ve ever dealt with! I was on a visit to the UAE and I had pain in my eyes that I couldn’t even open them well. I booked an appointment at this healthcare center. The doctor was really professional and very well-experienced. He calmed out my anxieties and gave me medicine to relieve the pain.
