PERi-PERi is the heart and soul of Nando’s. Its story is our story. For centuries the people of Southeast Africa have used PERi-PERi to bring fire to their food. It is in Mozambique’s rich soil and blistering sunshine that the African Bird’s Eye Chilli grows into its fiery best. When Portuguese explorers arrived there, they were enchanted by its flavour. They added a squeeze of lemon and a kick of garlic and turned PERi-PERi into a very well-travelled spice. Which is how, many years later it ended up in Rosettenville, Johannesburg.
One afternoon in 1987, two friends went for lunch at a humble Portuguese eatery. As their meal drew to a close, they knew they’d tasted something that had to be shared. PERi-PERi was about to make one more journey – from Rosettenville to the world.

I love Nando’s but I have to say that Nando’s in Dubai Marina is one of the worst Nando’s I ever have been to.
The waitress there are clearly boring to their work, always talking with each others, we stayed at our table easily 30min several times and they don’t come to our table, the food takes ages and normally is served cold or only warm, to get the bill another 30 min for a waitress to come to the table, and they are just clueless, 2 times they accepted our order and when the dish came that was missing one item, they served us anyway the espetada knowing that some ingredient was missing instead of asking us if we still wanted the espetada without that ingredient.

Mall of Emirates food Review
We are regular happy customers of Nandos. Unfortunately we had an irritating experience with Nandos outlet in Mall of Emirates, especially both the service and food. Usually we get a warm welcoming along with the amazing hot food from Nandos and we used to visit in Mirdif City center and Dubai Mall. So far we are very happy with their service in both the outlets even though in busy hours. But in Emirates Mall, the food was not maintained the usual quality and quantity and was not hot too. The service of the staffs were really disappointing. We just want to mention as it was totally unexpected from Nandos..
