EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!
Agents are all imcompetent, unreliable… Assigning new agent without asking permission from the policy holder… Communicating with Metlife is like a HELL you have to pass through, yet nothing happens for them to accommodate their clients’ concerns… they only care about dues for payment! This is a totally nightmare wasting all your time, money and effort investing to this incompetent insurance company!
By the way, this is Metlife UAE… they are deceiving their clients, keep changing the website, portal and misleading the people with their personal information…

Dishonest and lazy

Started investing in 2017. First they were incapable of changing our address to a foreign address (it took 17 emails with 12 different documents).
Then we wanted to close an account when we realized annual fees were close to 5%, and despite them claiming that closing an account takes about 2 weeks if all documents are ok, we are still awaiting payment over 2 months after initial request to cancel, despite giving all requested documentation same day of request each time.

What a bad customer service!!!
I am trying to reach Metlife call center (8006385433) since yesterday but no answer even after waiting for more than 10 minutes.
A prescription submitted by Life pharmacy is pending since yesterday which is not acceptable.

MetLife supposedly Wealth Builder — is not!

MetLife’s a bad investment.

I’ve invested a total of $30k into MetLife’s Wealth builder offering back in 2017.
We completed payments for 5 years.
Come 2022, when the $30k’s cash value is only at around $27,500!
End of 2023, it’s only 28,200! Still negative!

I don’t know how long I have to wait before I can ge the actual 30k back.

You know for sure that if our AED 100k is on other public investment for a year, it would have earned at least 6% for sure in a year. It will not depreciate like what MetLife has done with our invested $30k.

This is completely disappointing 6 years after all your promises of MetLife being a reliable and reputable investment company.

Poor service

I was happy at the beginning until after a year of payment.. The agent offer a new policy and updated my payment method.. After that Metlife started deducting lesser amount. I was paying around 1020aed but after updating my policy I noticed that the amount they’re debeting on my account became less.. Despite may follow ups, the manager name Charlie(if my memory serves me right) didn’t manage to clarify and he pass me to one of the Filipino agent. Then I realized that one of the policy wasn’t updated properly. The investment plan that was supposed to be finished in 12 years got extended for another year due to Metlife’s aganets lapses. The way also the manager Charlie resolve the situation is no appropriate.

Horrible and Untrustworthy

Emirates NBD Met life Insurance team has contacted me and confirmed that the policy for MetLife Multi Protect -under my policy EBMU108421 is eligible to avail 30 – 40 % of discounts on Medical claims on Doctor’s visit in their listed Hospitals. It is totally a scam!! when I enrolled and charged for my policy and while visited Hospital they do not even consider this for any reason.

I was totally surprised and shocked to know Emirates NBD Bank has also doing these fraudulent upselling to its Account holders.

I’ve contacted them immediately to cancel my policy and not to charge me on the next billing cycle – Even on several reminder emails and calls for cancellation Emirates NBD is kept charging me again for this Dam policy even when we raise to cancel.

I’ve been guarantied by their Contact center person Sathivir that this policy will be cancelled and the refund on the charged amount will be done in priority on 15th May but still my policy is Active and they still keep robbing me..

I’m trying to reach them in all media but still they are non responsive and they advised they have arranged for a call back in few minutes but I’ve been kept waited for the whole day without any reason.

This is simply annoying and poor Service for their Team.

Fraud Insurance Company!

this insurance is a scam so beware! they even tied up with my bank. Few months
I am paying for my insurance and wasn’t aware until I went to a clinic and optical shops that I am not even listed on this insurance. For 2 months I tried to reach them and repeatedly requesting for a cancellation yet no one responded and they continue taking my payment!!!!!!!

WE WERE SCAMMED! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY!

It’s a scam! They fooled us!!! Me and my husband was so upset and so disappointed with our agent and Metlife itself. We were offered a retirement with pension plan. I even reiterated and had a condition with our agent that we don’t want to invest in stocks! At first she showed us a projected retirement plan in US Dollars and it was very attractive especially the dividends or cash value. But what did they do? They fooled and abused our trust! Because of Pandemic they discontinued the pension plan and changed the plan with life insurance and invest it to stocks without our consent and approval!!! I was paying for my premium of US$420.38 for 3 years and 3 months now trusting that we are saving for our future. Yesterday, I was shocked! I checked and found that the REMAINING CASH SURRENDER VALUE is only US$4,094.41. What is this? We lost all our money for nothing and wasted our time and energy! My husband lost his job since 2 years ago in the Pandemic until now but we continued to save because we are already 54 and 55 years old and sooner we will retire and go back to our home country without the pension plan that was originally agreed upon to. I wrote a review to warn those who are also an OFW who wanted to have their dream retirement plan. May God deal with these people.
