Al Mashreq bank is the absolute worst!

Man, Al Mashreq bank is the absolute worst! They don’t give a damn about their customers. It’s like they don’t even know what respect means. My experience with them has been a total nightmare. I’ve been trying to get in touch with them for three freaking weeks, and guess what? No one picks up the phone, and my emails are just floating in the void with no reply. Seriously, I’ve never seen such lousy service in my life. I’m just counting down the days until I can get my hands on my money and then I’m outta there

Connecting with an agent via call takes an excessive amount of time, with no resolution provided. I initiated a transfer two days ago, and while the amount was debited from my Mashreq account, it has not been credited to the recipient’s account. I am confused about the whereabouts of the funds, and despite filing complaints, I have received no assistance.

Not sure where to start, from the terrible incompetent account managers, or the phone banking advisors that take forecer to answer and usually don’t know more than we sent a request to relevant team, or the bank staff that tell you a statement needs time and we’ll call you when ready and a week later it is still not ready.

Very very bad experience with Mashreq. I don’t recommend to anyone to use Mashreq account. I opened my account in Mashreq in 2021. It was zero balance account, no need to maintain any minimum balance also no minimum salary was required. I opened my account only that conditions.
But Suddenly they changed the policy and start cutting service charges for not maintaining the minimum balance in account 21 AED PER MONTH. This is very unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. I had no idea about new policy or about charges. They didn’t even call or text message for inform us. According to them, they just send an email to inform customers.
Wallah they are eating Haram Money. How is that possible that I opened my account only for this condition no minimum balance required, otherwise I didn’t open my account. Now they suddenly start cutting service charges 21 AED PER MONTH.Very very bad experience. They are doing fraud with people. Please I request to everyone don’t use Mashreq account even If they tell you it is free or no minimum balance required.

Fraudulent transaction happened on card without sharing any information

It’s very disappointing to know that bank like Mashreq in UAE have very weak security system and also very bad service. Only after 15 days of collecting a credit card there was a fraud transaction happened on my card of AED 2750 to Vietnam and bank advised me to file a dispute but denied to refund the money in 3 to 4 days in fact bank notified me about the suspicious transaction and immediately I block the card still amount was deducted I haven’t shared any card information or OTP to anyone still amount was deducted since 6 years I am using other bank cards here in UAE but this happened only in 15 days of using Mashreq card and from customer service there is no proper response they advise me to go to police or complain in central bank this is so pathetic

Unfortunately and unlike many of the other world renown banks that make attempts to elevate your customer service experience, Mashreq, over the past several years has been doing complete opposite.
From reduction in benefits to customer service responsiveness, it appears to have entered a level of a third-world country levels and the sad part about it is, they don’t appear to care.
Impossible to obtain response via secured online inquiries, limited to only phone communication in the digital era, website that constantly shows errors without explanations and no available technical support, to name a few. Have been trying to resolve some basic questions for weeks now and no feedback. Quite disappointing to see such treatment of long-term customers.

No any one responsible for cyber fraud

I have good experience in this bank first 8 months after fraud happed this me, more un authorizes person in Veitanam country withdrawal AED 12,000 on 30 Nov 2023 form my credit card, no any sms, OTP, Bank email for this transaction after block my card. I filed Mashreq bank dispute form, they said 3 secure truncation we check your case has been rejected. Now 08 January 2024 balance has due for payment, mashreq bank customer care said go to police station, I filed Ecrime case, they said go to bank, no any one responsible for transition, mashreq bank credit card 100% unsafe do not used this card, even they give good offer, credit points, first they give you after takeing return bank with more then 1000 times.

It was terrible experience for us. I will strongly advise people not to get noon credit card. We got multiple transactions of total 25,000 aed while me and my husband were physically present in abu dhabi with the noon credit card with us. These transactions occur in another country(ukrain). when my husband approached mashreq bank they told us that they will investigate and let us know what can be done. Within a two days mashreq bank told us that the case is closed and we have to pay this amount. Unfortunately with fear and no help further my husband took a loan and paid 25000 aed which we were not supposed to pay. I am sharing so that people get to know about noon credit card.

I am writing this to inform the public that no one has to cheat like me. I have been a resident of the UAE past 10 years and have dealt with more than 7 banks . From my Mashreq Credit card one fraud Unauthorized transaction were done from VIETNAM AED 11,886.77 ( VND 75,544,000.00) without any bank security’s initiation on 18-11-2023 at 11.42 AM . Same moments I have informed to customer care block the transaction but no use. Fraud took my information through Hawk and saved it in Samsung wallet. I wonder why such a bank doesn’t have security while some one using it in other regions and saving cards in wallet without any security features.?. Within 2 days bank replied disputed transaction(s) were performed under 3D Secure environment. Hence the dispute has been rejected we are unable to refund the amount, If you still believe that the transaction(s) are not valid, we advise you to take up this matter directly with the merchant or seek intervention from a legal authority. The bank will not be able to assist you further in this regard. Still am compliant registered &follow-up with central bank & police for justices. Hope positive

Mashreq Credit Card- No security and No trustworthy

I am writing this to inform the public that no one has to cheat like me. I have been a resident of the UAE past 27 years and have dealt with more than 10 banks in my experience. Recently I took a card from Mashreq and within 2 months some fraud transactions were done by hawkers from Malaysia. They took my information through Hawk and saved it in Google Pay My Card.
They used my card and made some transactions.

I wonder why such a bank doesn’t have security while some one using it in other regions and saving cards in Google Pay without any security features.?.

So never take a card from Mashreq which makes you all big trouble.

You will lose your life.

We quit with Mashreq after chasing them to finalize the bank account application after5 MONTHS!!!!!! of endless communications. It’s so unbelievable unprofessional. This is fraudulent bank, I won’t give stars.
The Worst bank!!! Stay away from it. cant understand how are they allowed to work in a country like UAE.
Their agent literally begged me to get a CC from them with multiple benefits in August 22 and in April 23 when i have requested to close my Mashreq platinum elite card but their agent from CC team called and forcibly send new cashback card saying that I should take cashback card and activate it for closure of platinum elite card and 6 months has passed by, nothing happened.
Here is what they do. Try to sell their CC with fake promises of cash backs.- When you contact them, they have a SLA of 2 days. So what they do is, they ‘close’ your ticket after 2 days and create a new one with the new date, hence 2 days again.
Similarly, they give a quick miss call and close the call, just to have, ‘we called the customer but not answered’ in the end they sent me a credit card statement to my gmail I’d saying to pay 850.53 AED immediately. for elite card annual maintenance fee 573 aed + 278 for due date over due fees.

Such shady and bad experience with this bank. They will simply waste your time to extract late payment and other extra charges from you.
Please stay away from such ghost banks.

I really need to question your security setup. Someone from Tbilisi, Georgia, used my card for a similar transaction, and 15778 AED was deducted from my credit card. You guys were saying it was a secure transaction and paying it back. We will take up this with social media and the police because you guys are not able to protect your customers from fraud. When I spoke to your dispute team, they said Mashreq has very limited resources to track all transactions.

Nobody is from your side to take the responsibility. I doubt you guys are doing this purposefully to take money from customers.

The bad customer service I tried to settle my credit card agent was so rude keeping calling me 100 times a day without settle the card I m paying twice more than minimum monthly and still receiving fines every day I m telling them I want to close this credit card when they told me the amount and I confirmed they didn’t send official email for that amount and after 3 days they said how much your salary and they increased again no one professional all staff asking for more money so rude want only to take more money I sent a lot of emails no one replied it is the bad experience ever since 8 months I sending emails to close it but they only playing to take more money in unprofessional way

Credit cards trap compound commutative interest

Stay away from & close their missleading credit cards calculating outstanding un billed not paid retail purchases monthly statement interest same like credit card cash withdrawal !! On a daily compound, cumulative additional manner !! Different than most banks !! so for 2 comulative statements, expected interest on 5000 dhs X 3.69% will not be 184 dhs, but as on 10k dhs, not even 370 dhs byt 450 dhs !! Be aware and take care to pay all outstanding ASAP and close ur credit card to avoid such trap

I requested a personal loan from Mashreq Bank on 4-May-2023 and one of the agents called Gagan asked me for some money for the loan amount to process it faster and my phone is recording all the calls and I sent them to Mashreq Bank by email and when the agent feel like I will not pay he gives me a phone number for another agent and I have applied and signed the application on 8-May-2023 and since this time they are delaying everything to push me to pay and requesting something new every week, First asked for FAB liability letter after 1 week I give then after another week asked for ENBD liability letter I give also and until now after 1 month I didn’t get anything and wasting my time & my money for applying for documents, Calling them, Follow up, I did everything to finish the PL and every day they are creating complaint without solving my case even I visit the branch in Internet city and issue not solved

This is a trap bank, Long time they were saying this bank a is a butcher’s bank. We opened a business account last year and after 2 months they closed it for aml investigation although all the payments were declared ahead of time. Then they opened the account again and charged fees for those 2 months. We had to follow up on daily basis to renove the charges. Then we requested to close the account, it took them 4 months to close it and they were charging “relationship fees” every month for their bad relationship. It was a terrible experience dealing with Mashreq Bank. A Mashreq salesperson entered my last name wrongly when I asked for a card, so the card was issued under the wrong name after giving prorper documents. Horrible customer service. Not following up on their customers. Misleading information from the agents and too many promises – zero delivery. I tried to open my account about a month ago. The agent confirmed that all the info has beef received and no documents are pending, the card will be delivered within 48 hours. In a week I called back, no card, the agent told they don’t have enough docs to open an account.
They don’t reply on the emails. Calling takes too long. I spent so far AED 160 only on calls! They tell you one phrase and put on hold forever hoping the money on a caller’s account will finish.
I asked to connect to the manager – not available.
Asked to call me back – not possible.

I made a quick remit transfer of XXXXX AED to my country with a beneficiary already existing and literally 8 days now, not credited to the beneficiary account. Beneficiary bank is also an International bank and the worst thing is you call customer care everyday asking for feedback, each customer care representative feeds you with different answers and none is legit. One representative states it’s with the beneficiary bank, another one says it’s under review with us and another one we need to figure it out.

Quick Remit Transaction Rejected But Deducted From My Account

Customer services of Mashreq Bank are under zero. I transfered an amount for my family expenses in Pakistan and the transaction rejected by the bank but the amount deducted from my account. I called the helpline and they registered a complaint and promised that the amount would be reversed back in my account within 48 hours. Now its been more than 20 days, i am still waiting this amount to be reversed back in my account. Daily I call helplines and daily customer service agents register a top priority complaint and always there is a zero action on this top priority complaint. Very funny. I again call helpline and they once again start the process from zero by registering a new “”top priority” complaint. And still I am without money and I have wasted a lot of my time chasing this money which is the only fund available to me for my family. No one is seriously rectifying my issue. I am repenting on the day when I was convinced to open an account with Mashreq bank.

I received cheque from my companh and required to get my cash.
From Dubai Mall to Mall of the Emirates I was sent and from Mall Of The Emirates they sent me to this bank. In Dubai Internet city I was waiting 1 hour 15 minutes to reach cashier, while two of them were free all thw time. After I gave my cheque they asked me to wait, ok. Later I went to ask approximate waiting time, cashier said its up to manager, when later I’ve seen manager, approach was, “What do you want? And then yes, you have to wait another hour for approval, maybe more. If you dont want, I can give you your cheque and go. I was shocked, first from the way of talking, second from the time. I mentioed that I’ve been sent already two times and it’s a bit too much time, I’ve heard only, “yes, its like this. Wait or I’ll give and you go”.
Like WHAT? REALLY? You just misusing that I really need to get ky money in this way? How can I be sure that it’s really one hour? I SPENT HALF OF MY DAY JUST TO WAIT FOR THIS SERVICE? Who assign such people to be managers?!
And still I’m waiting. Will see for how many more hours here.

The only reason I have an account with them is because I do not have the time and energy to visit their branch (God knows if one exists) and get my account closed. I was just surprised that Mashreq charges a transaction fee if you purchase some through the International site but in AED currency. I booked my flight on Royal Brunei airline from Dubai, and the amount is aed5600. I used my debit card. Upon checking my online banking, I wondered why they deducted an additional 70 (5670). I clarified it with the customer service and was told it’s a transaction fee since it’s an International site. The bank keeps on changing its Terms and Conditions!! I am surprised as I have no time to read the charge schedule. So I guess the cashback is to cover up their charges but all lies!!. You’ll get a cashback on International spending but will be charged twice on their commerce fee. Shame

Bad communication, zero follow up

I have waited 3 months for 1 simple letter. Nobody gets in touch, no one answers the phone (relationship manager) I had a good one before but they changed him, now I have a lady that never answers. Fed up with them, had no choice for a start up business . Would never recommend to anyone… still waiting for the letter. They promised som many time. It’s costing me 1000aed a month to invoice through another company … they don’t care about their customers clearly

I don’t want to go into detail, after a million calls to mashreq customer service with no clarity whatsoever about my issue, I decided to absorb the extra costs I am paying for my credit card and will close it as soon as I can.
I called their customer service a million times everytime i have to explain my issue, and i never had any call back from them while incurring huge extra charges on credit card. The only call back is from collection department asking me to pay and doesn’t care about my issues.
It is not a client focused bank it actually doesn’t care about people…

I’ve been here in the UAE and this is by far the worst bank I’ve seen so far. Based on my experience, they charged me with what they call international conversion fee because they have converted the fees that I made for purchasing an airline ticket. I don’t have any idea about this service and it was not advised to me by the agent who activated my card. Because of this I have told my friends about this experience and they also will cancel their card with them.

We have visited the bank 4 times to activate our account and have not been able to do so because every time we go they ask for more documents which they could ask the first time itself. There is no system of the number calling someone calls your number and u don’t know which desk called. When we asked the person at the reception we were told to go and check at every counter who had called as he could not help. It is totally disorganised. Had decided to buy more Mashreq Millionaires but with this type of service have dropped the idea. Hope someone will look into this.

Troubles since day 1 mashreq neo biz
1) Bank account doesn’t open on time (1 month)
2) Then suddenly transaction issues saying we didn’t complete documentation (took 1 month to resolve)
3) suddenly bank account closed (after 3 months)
4) have to request to reopen (took 45 days to reopen)
5) tried to cash cheque – after 4 tries and 10 days they day account was responded so cheque will not work
6) raised complaint took 7 days no call back. I had to call myself 5 – 6 times.
7) Relationship managers all in another world – never pick up phone or engaged.

No Human Being to Speak to!

Mashreq Bank claims to be digital and online, yet for more than a week, i am unable to speak to a real person who can actually help. Moreover, all the branches seem to be gradually shutting down, ATM are hardly available nearby; and to speak to anyone you have to make a long trip before anything gets solved. Very very bad experience with Mashreq. I don’t recommend to anyone to use Mashreq account. I opened my account in Mashreq in 2021. It was zero balance account, no need to maintain any minimum balance also no minimum salary was required. I opened my account only that conditions.
But Suddenly they changed the policy and start cutting service charges for not maintaining the minimum balance in account 21 AED PER MONTH. This is very unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. I had no idea about new policy or about charges. They didn’t even call or text message for inform us. According to them, they just send an email to inform customers.
Wallah they are eating Haram Money. How is that possible that I opened my account only for this condition no minimum balance required, otherwise I didn’t open my account. Now they suddenly start cutting service charges 21 AED PER MONTH.Very very bad experience. They are doing fraud with people. Please I request to everyone don’t use Mashreq account even If they tell you it is free or no minimum balance required.

It’s very disappointing to know that bank like Mashreq in UAE have very weak security system and also very bad service. Only after 15 days of collecting a credit card there was a fraud transaction happened on my card of AED 2750 to Vietnam and bank advised me to file a dispute but denied to refund the money in 3 to 4 days in fact bank notified me about the suspicious transaction and immediately I block the card still amount was deducted I haven’t shared any card information or OTP to anyone still amount was deducted since 6 years I am using other bank cards here in UAE but this happened only in 15 days of using Mashreq card and from customer service there is no proper response they advise me to go to police or complain in central bank this is so pathetic

Unfortunately and unlike many of the other world renown banks that make attempts to elevate your customer service experience, Mashreq, over the past several years has been doing complete opposite.
From reduction in benefits to customer service responsiveness, it appears to have entered a level of a third-world country levels and the sad part about it is, they don’t appear to care.
Impossible to obtain response via secured online inquiries, limited to only phone communication in the digital era, website that constantly shows errors without explanations and no available technical support, to name a few. Have been trying to resolve some basic questions for weeks now and no feedback. Quite disappointing to see such treatment of long-term customers.

It was terrible experience for us. I will strongly advise people not to get noon credit card. We got multiple transactions of total 25,000 aed while me and my husband were physically present in abu dhabi with the noon credit card with us. I am writing this to inform the public that no one has to cheat like me. I have been a resident of the UAE past 10 years and have dealt with more than 7 banks . From my Mashreq Credit card one fraud Unauthorized transaction were done from VIETNAM AED 11,886.77 ( VND 75,544,000.00) without any bank security’s initiation on 18-11-2023 at 11.42 AM . Same moments I have informed to customer care block the transaction but no use. Fraud took my information through Hawk and saved it in Samsung wallet. I wonder why such a bank doesn’t have security while some one using it in other regions and saving cards in wallet without any security features.?. Within 2 days bank replied disputed transaction(s) were performed under 3D Secure environment. Hence the dispute has been rejected we are unable to refund the amount, If you still believe that the transaction(s) are not valid, we advise you to take up this matter directly with the merchant or seek intervention from a legal authority. The bank will not be able to assist you further in this regard. Still am compliant registered &follow-up with central bank & police for justices. Hope positive

I am writing this to inform the public that no one has to cheat like me. I have been a resident of the UAE past 27 years and have dealt with more than 10 banks in my experience. Recently I took a card from Mashreq and within 2 months some fraud transactions were done by hawkers from Malaysia. They took my information through Hawk and saved it in Google Pay My Card.
They used my card and made some transactions.

I wonder why such a bank doesn’t have security while some one using it in other regions and saving cards in Google Pay without any security features.?.

So never take a card from Mashreq which makes you all big trouble.

This is fraudulent bank, I won’t give stars.
The Worst bank!!! Stay away from it. cant understand how are they allowed to work in a country like UAE.
Their agent literally begged me to get a CC from them with multiple benefits in August 22 and in April 23 when i have requested to close my Mashreq platinum elite card but their agent from CC team called and forcibly send new cashback card saying that I should take cashback card and activate it for closure of platinum elite card and 6 months has passed by, nothing happened.
Here is what they do. Try to sell their CC with fake promises of cash backs.- When you contact them, they have a SLA of 2 days. So what they do is, they ‘close’ your ticket after 2 days and create a new one with the new date, hence 2 days again.
Similarly, they give a quick miss call and close the call, just to have, ‘we called the customer but not answered’ in the end they sent me a credit card statement to my gmail I’d saying to pay 850.53 AED immediately. for elite card annual maintenance fee 573 aed + 278 for due date over due fees.

Such shady and bad experience with this bank. They will simply waste your time to extract late payment and other extra charges from you.

I really need to question your security setup. Someone from Tbilisi, Georgia, used my card for a similar transaction, and 15778 AED was deducted from my credit card. You guys were saying it was a secure transaction and paying it back. We will take up this with social media and the police because you guys are not able to protect your customers from fraud. And now its been 4 days and they are yet to process a refund on the extra amount transferred. It does not take this long for approval.

The bad customer service I tried to settle my credit card agent was so rude keeping calling me 100 times a day without settle the card I m paying twice more than minimum monthly and still receiving fines every day I m telling them I want to close this credit card when they told me the amount and I confirmed they didn’t send official email for that amount and after 3 days they said how much your salary and they increased again no one professional all staff asking for more money so rude want only to take more money I sent a lot of emails no one replied it is the bad experience ever since 8 months I sending emails to close it but they only playing to take more money in unprofessional way

Stay away from & close their missleading credit cards calculating outstanding un billed not paid retail purchases monthly statement interest same like credit card cash withdrawal !! On a daily compound, cumulative additional manner !! Different than most banks !! so for 2 comulative statements, expected interest on 5000 dhs X 3.69% will not be 184 dhs, but as on 10k dhs, not even 370 dhs byt 450 dhs !! Be aware and take care to pay all outstanding ASAP and close ur credit card to avoid such trap

A Mashreq Bank Agent Asked for a Bribe

I requested a personal loan from Mashreq Bank on 4-May-2023 and one of the agents called Gagan asked me for some money for the loan amount to process it faster and my phone is recording all the calls and I sent them to Mashreq Bank by email and when the agent feel like I will not pay he gives me a phone number for another agent and I have applied and signed the application on 8-May-2023 and since this time they are delaying everything to push me to pay and requesting something new every week, First asked for FAB liability letter after 1 week I give then after another week asked for ENBD liability letter I give also and until now after 1 month I didn’t get anything and wasting my time & my money for applying for documents, Calling them, Follow up, I did everything to finish the PL and every day they are creating complaint without solving my case even I visit the branch in Internet city and issue not solved

This is a trap bank, Long time they were saying this bank a is a butcher’s bank. Just few days ago I requested an instant loan service through there website for 3500 only, imagine, they sent credit card with limit of 35,000. Where I mentioned clearly earlier for only 3500 only,. We opened a business account last year and after 2 months they closed it for aml investigation although all the payments were declared ahead of time. Then they opened the account again and charged fees for those 2 months. We had to follow up on daily basis to renove the charges. Then we requested to close the account, it took them 4 months to close it and they were charging “relationship fees” every month for their bad relationship. They didn’t close the account until we paid the outstanding but we had to do that, because we want to end this bad relationship.

It was a terrible experience dealing with Mashreq Bank. A Mashreq salesperson entered my last name wrongly when I asked for a card, so the card was issued under the wrong name after giving prorper documents. Following numerous follow-ups, cards bearing the correct name were issued. But still name updated on the bank’s system is incorrect, though. What does it mean to update only card? if the name listed on the bank’s system is incorrect. Additionally, the card’s advantages are not as claimed by Mashreq; rather, after following up with Mashreq and Noon for two weeks, I was meant to obtain a Noon VIP account with the card, but I never did until now after several followup and email still I didnt received my NOON VIP accoutn after 2months.

When I called Mashreq, they informed me to check with the Noon VIP team as they are responsible for updating this. But as per Noon VIP team, Mashreq was responsible.

I emailed them, but I haven’t heard back.

Horrible customer service. Not following up on their customers. Misleading information from the agents and too many promises – zero delivery. I tried to open my account about a month ago. The agent confirmed that all the info has beef received and no documents are pending, the card will be delivered within 48 hours. In a week I called back, no card, the agent told they don’t have enough docs to open an account.
They don’t reply on the emails. Calling takes too long. I spent so far AED 160 only on calls! They tell you one phrase and put on hold forever hoping the money on a caller’s account will finish.
I asked to connect to the manager – not available.
Asked to call me back – not possible.

Why to invest in this ducking bank after all?

I made a quick remit transfer of XXXXX AED to my country with a beneficiary already existing and literally 8 days now, not credited to the beneficiary account. Beneficiary bank is also an International bank and the worst thing is you call customer care everyday asking for feedback, each customer care representative feeds you with different answers and none is legit. One representative states it’s with the beneficiary bank, another one says it’s under review with us and another one we need to figure it out.
After registering a complaint, it’s been 3 working days and no one has even cald to explain what’s going on.

I have accounts in Germany and Spain and now thank god here in UAE account. this bank is an impertinence for the human mind and I have no understanding of that…..I wanted to set up an account shouldn’t be a problem, Zack someone was at the door the next day and had scanned all the documents and taken fingerprints. Quick Remit Transaction Rejected But Deducted From My Account

Customer services of Mashreq Bank are under zero. I transfered an amount for my family expenses in Pakistan and the transaction rejected by the bank but the amount deducted from my account. I called the helpline and they registered a complaint and promised that the amount would be reversed back in my account within 48 hours. Now its been more than 20 days, i am still waiting this amount to be reversed back in my account. Daily I call helplines and daily customer service agents register a top priority complaint and always there is a zero action on this top priority complaint. Very funny. I again call helpline and they once again start the process from zero by registering a new “”top priority” complaint. And still I am without money and I have wasted a lot of my time chasing this money which is the only fund available to me for my family. No one is seriously rectifying my issue. I am repenting on the day when I was convinced to open an account with Mashreq bank.

I was debited 300 AED in my Debit card saying that I have made purchases a month ago that was only claimed by merchants now! TO THINK that this is a DEBIT CARD (current acct). I received cheque from my companh and required to get my cash.
From Dubai Mall to Mall of the Emirates I was sent and from Mall Of The Emirates they sent me to this bank. In Dubai Internet city I was waiting 1 hour 15 minutes to reach cashier, while two of them were free all thw time. After I gave my cheque they asked me to wait, ok. Later I went to ask approximate waiting time, cashier said its up to manager, when later I’ve seen manager, approach was, “What do you want? And then yes, you have to wait another hour for approval, maybe more. If you dont want, I can give you your cheque and go. I was shocked, first from the way of talking, second from the time. I mentioed that I’ve been sent already two times and it’s a bit too much time, I’ve heard only, “yes, its like this. Wait or I’ll give and you go”.
Like WHAT? REALLY? You just misusing that I really need to get ky money in this way? How can I be sure that it’s really one hour? I SPENT HALF OF MY DAY JUST TO WAIT FOR THIS SERVICE? Who assign such people to be managers?!
And still I’m waiting. Will see for how many more hours here.

The only reason I have an account with them is because I do not have the time and energy to visit their branch (God knows if one exists) and get my account closed. It is a totally online bank, almost to the point of being non-existent. I wonder whether somebody even works there because you can never reach a person via phone.

The worst banking experience with Mashreq Bank

2 weeks since i opened my account and still not active, no one can give me a clear answer as all the documents were submitted physically successfully and uploaded online, the customer care representatives blame it on the account activation team and vice versa, they promise to investigate and get back to you and that is a one big fat lie you never get a call back. I was just surprised that Mashreq charges a transaction fee if you purchase some through the International site but in AED currency. I booked my flight on Royal Brunei airline from Dubai, and the amount is aed5600. I used my debit card. Upon checking my online banking, I wondered why they deducted an additional 70 (5670). I clarified it with the customer service and was told it’s a transaction fee since it’s an International site. The bank keeps on changing its Terms and Conditions!! I am surprised as I have no time to read the charge schedule. So I guess the cashback is to cover up their charges but all lies!!. You’ll get a cashback on International spending but will be charged twice on their commerce fee. Shame

After contacting “these people” to take me off their mail list they simply blocked my email. I have no idea where they got my email address from to send me all the crap they do but they are a bunch of clowns. Bad attitude. Worst bank in UAE – WORST customer service-Credit Card Issues

Bad customer services, they don’t respond to emails, calls or messages, or even physical visits.
Credit Card issue, they are stealing your money LEGALLY!!!! They make fortune from clients! you don’t know what to pay and why. The client found himself stuck with them for years paying monthly charges for no reason or service. ADVICE: Don’t take their credit card at all.

Debit card issue: I couldn’t withdraw my money from ATM machine or from the branch or even transfer it to any beneficiary!

Since 28/04/2022 I am tying to transfer amount from the application and till now nothing happened.
This bank does not care about the customers and you are the one have to follow up with them till they do them work ..

Worst customer service ever

They say that a bank account takes 1 to 3 business days to be activated. Well, mine is still not activated and it has been 1 month. Many calls and complaints and still nothing. They even close my complaints without resolving it!!!!
I don’t recommend this bank it’s a big waste of time and energy.

8 days back I have made a transaction and still it’s not beed deposited in beneficiary account no will knows whats the issue no one will give any call back no one will reply your E-mails just you have run after them

Bad communication, zero follow up

I have waited 3 months for 1 simple letter. Nobody gets in touch, no one answers the phone (relationship manager) I had a good one before but they changed him, now I have a lady that never answers. Fed up with them, had no choice for a start up business . Would never recommend to anyone… still waiting for the letter. They promised som many time. It’s costing me 1000aed a month to invoice through another company … they don’t care about their customers clearly

I don’t want to go into detail, after a million calls to mashreq customer service with no clarity whatsoever about my issue, I decided to absorb the extra costs I am paying for my credit card and will close it as soon as I can.
I called their customer service a million times everytime i have to explain my issue, and i never had any call back from them while incurring huge extra charges on credit card. The only call back is from collection department asking me to pay and doesn’t care about my issues.
It is not a client focused bank it actually doesn’t care about people…

I’ve been here in the UAE and this is by far the worst bank I’ve seen so far. Based on my experience, they charged me with what they call international conversion fee because they have converted the fees that I made for purchasing an airline ticket. I don’t have any idea about this service and it was not advised to me by the agent who activated my card. Because of this I have told my friends about this experience and they also will cancel their card with them.

Activating account

We have visited the bank 4 times to activate our account and have not been able to do so because every time we go they ask for more documents which they could ask the first time itself. There is no system of the number calling someone calls your number and u don’t know which desk called. When we asked the person at the reception we were told to go and check at every counter who had called as he could not help. It is totally disorganised. Had decided to buy more Mashreq Millionaires but with this type of service have dropped the idea. Hope someone will look into this.

I am calling the helpline / customer service but being stucked in recordings and long loops of waiting then a call center accidentally answered my call and redirected again to a long waiting loop but didn’t got through to some customer representative. I was calling again and again but same response. Worst experience of customer service.

Via phone, very bad availability.
Website for online banking at least since 2 days not possible.
After almost never ending reaching some one on the phone, he can not help me, connecting to some one else for further support. Coming again in the annoying voice loop.
Currently can give extreme advise to look for another bank if considering to open an account at Mashreq.

You have money in the bank but can’t take it out.

Troubles since day 1 mashreq neo biz
1) Bank account doesn’t open on time (1 month)
2) Then suddenly transaction issues saying we didn’t complete documentation (took 1 month to resolve)
3) suddenly bank account closed (after 3 months)
4) have to request to reopen (took 45 days to reopen)
5) tried to cash cheque – after 4 tries and 10 days they day account was responded so cheque will not work
6) raised complaint took 7 days no call back. I had to call myself 5 – 6 times.
7) Relationship managers all in another world – never pick up phone or engaged.

No Human Being to Speak to!

Mashreq Bank claims to be digital and online, yet for more than a week, i am unable to speak to a real person who can actually help. Moreover, all the branches seem to be gradually shutting down, ATM are hardly available nearby; and to speak to anyone you have to make a long trip before anything gets solved. Until now, my problem is not solved. I finally managed to get to speak to a person who was very rude and refused to help!

Easy problem solving

I had a problem while opening my bank account because I waited so long for the account opening and nothing happened. When I contacted them, they apologized for the delay and asked me to wait for 10 minutes. Just 5 minutes later, the problem was solved and my account was opened successfully! Highly recommended.
