Maru was given a mission: to bring authentic Japanese UDON, at an affordable price, to Dubai – and the world. Others had tried but failed! Maru was determined to succeed.
Maru began by bringing local ingredients to Kagawa in Japan, the home of UDON. There, he carried out tests and trials and came up with a blend of local ingredients. He returned with the tools and skills to make fresh udon with the limited means available.
Today, Maru makes fresh UDON every day, with locally procured ingredients, to make an authentic experience that can be enjoyed by everyone.
