Bad experience with Dr Nitin Verma

We had a very bad excitement experience with Dr Nitin Verma. He misdiagnosed my daughter’s condition and recommended a completely wrong line of treatment which deteriorated my child’s (4.5 yr old) condition. He wouldn’t give us proper answers. We very vague and in the end have us a completely wrong and false diagnosis.

I have booked a teleconsultation with the hospital and my experience is a disappointing and unsatisfactory. They have booked me for appointment which keep on changing and not respecting the schedule.

bad experience

I visited dermatology doctor in november and was not satisfied with the whole experience and filled the survey received after my visit. After a while i was called from the hospital but due to a meeting i was attending, i missed the call and was unaware of the caller. I called the hospital and left a message hoping that someone would discuss the concerns i filled in my survey but 3 weeks elapsed and no one called so i called again and was referred to Jayanti who listened to my concerns and promised she will take it up with the management and will advise me with the findings. Another 2 weeks have passed and she never called back so i called for the 3rd time.
Im not sure what kind of staff kings hospital has and what kind of process the staff are following but what i certainly know that the negligence of the staff and their unprofessionalism would leave the patients with extreme frustration and disappointment.
If the survey is of no use or of no importance why then it’s sent to the patient following the visit? Why we as patients are wasting our time in filling the survey that would not be looked at neither it will be treated seriously!!!
Im not happy at all with the whole experience. There was significant staff negligence and that is very obvious.
I will never come back to kings hospital for any treatment neither i would recommend to any of my relatives, colleagues or friends.

Service is excellent

I gave birth in Kings College Hospital Dubai and the experience was great! The way the pediatric nurses took care of me and my baby was incredible. We stayed for more than a week in the hospital as my baby got jaundiced, and the nurses offered to feed her at night and change her nappy, I was restless. They extended help in every way possible.

After giving birth, I got de quervain’s tenosynovitis, and Mr. Agero was the one to treat me. 5 sessions with him were worth the long drive. My hands got better earlier than expected.

Overall, I highly recommend this hospital!

Dr Gavin Luis is an exceptional way of taking the anxiety out of the moment for his patients. His explanation is thorough and simple and nothing was forced on my daughter. Shell left feeling in control and “heard” by her Dr. Thank you Dr Luis foraking this a positive experience for her.

Very Expensive Hospital With Incompetent Staff

I had an extremely bad experience with highly expensive hospital. The staff is incompetent and very rude specially Diabetes and Endocrinology department. They did not perform proper diagnosis and treated me in pathetic way. My disease became more critical after visiting them because treatment was not done in appropriate way. This was told me be by the professors when I visited them in my country. I am very upset with the doctors of Kings College Hospital Dubai.

Dr Paul Macnamara -Knee & Hip Surgeon

I had my Left Knee Replacement surgery this week on Mon 9 May. I had seen Dr Paul a few times prior to surgery where he explained the procedure to me. He is friendly & caring towards his patients and they come 1st. He did an an amazing job in theatre as not only did he do the knee replacement but also straightened my bottom leg (the tibia) which was very skew from my severe osteo arthritis. I now have a straight leg and wonderful knee replacement. Dr Paul Macnamara has an excellent reputation and I highly recommend him.
I require a knee replacement on my other leg as well and will definitely use Dr Paul Macnamara again.
The nursing staff in Ward 7 were excellent, attentive and empathetic . I was very happy with my lovely ward and the food was good too.

Appointment

I called for an appointment last week as my son is suffering from allergies, the milk he was having was H.A and has been renewed. Unfortunately my son started to react on it, we tried another milk, he was still having a lot of allergies. After calling for an appointment to consult a specialist for allergies, the agent told me the doctor was fully booked the whole week till upcoming Saturday. I asked her if we could come earlier as it was quite urgent. She would send an email and revert back to me. At the end of the conversation I explicitly asked her to secure the slot for upcoming Saturday in case it won’t be possible to have an earlier appointment. Well you can guess what happened.. they never reverted back for an earlier appointment and the booking for next Saturday was also not made. It’s not the first time I had this problem with King College, there is clearly internally an issue when it comes to replying to emails they’ve sent to each other.
At the end they came with a ‘solution’ to have the appointment upcoming Monday at 1:30 pm but that’s not possible for me as some people are working! I’m so pissed cause I waited a whole week for no reason, my husband could have brought him earlier. Anyway.. NEVER EVER king college for me. I even had an appointment for another reasons with another doctor, I will cancel it and go to other hospitals.

Fast queue

As I was on a visit to the UAE, I felt pain in my leg that I even couldn’t walk properly. I decided to go to the emergency at this hospital and It was the best decision ever. I waited for only 10 minutes and then visited the doctor immediately! Satisfied!
