Very unprofessional school management
My daughter is studying in Gulf Model School in class 11 and is using the school bus transport. Since the end of summer vacation this year it has been two months now but still there are recurring issues of the school bus transport. The kids of Bus No 23 have never reached the school on time neither have they reached back home before 4 pm. There are small kids in the bus too. Last week Thursday they took the kids to Sharjah by managing bus no 23 and bus no 7 kids in a single bus. Our bus students were sitting in the bus floor due to lack of sitting space. That day my husband had called Ms.Tresil Sebastian (Phase 4 supervisor) and class teacher and had scolded and yelled at them a lot. So since that they whatever or whenever we message them either they just leave it in seen or don’t even bother to check the message. It is their mistake yet they are not being responsible. Bus Number 23 had been caught by the RTA last week Friday and they took photos of the front and back side of the bus. That very same day the transport manager Mr.Faisal PV had resigned from his job. The school management had the entire weekend to inform this to the parents but still no response from their side. I would recommend not taking admission in this school Very bad and unprofessional behaviour of the school management and staff.
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the conduct of Ms. Shailaja during my recent visit to collect my certificate. Despite being the first to arrive I was not attended to, while others who came later were prioritized. I was made to wait nearly four hours just to receive my certificate. When I sought clarification, instead of assisting, Ms. Shailaja unfairly blamed me for not giving exact details although she had never asked for them.
What I found most disappointing was her behavior throughout the process. She was extremely rude, dismissive, and carried herself with an attitude as though she was doing me a favor. Rather than treating me with basic respect, she behaved arrogantly, almost as if she were above everyone else which made the experience unnecessarily unpleasant.
As a graduate who has fulfilled all requirements, I believe I deserve to be treated with courtesy and fairness, not disrespect and delay. I kindly request that this matter be taken seriously to ensure no other student or graduate faces such treatment in the future.
Not following KHDA Rules and unprofessional service. They are forcefully collecting optional fees and not adjusting re-registation fees on tution fees. They are also incresed fee structure 2024-2025 without approval and informed to parents formally. Ofcourse required legal action for not following KHDA rules.
I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction that I experienced at the School when I went to apply for a transfer certificate for my son.
My son is studying in grade 2 at GMS. I have decided to change my son’s school due to various reasons which I will mention in the mail.
I went to school on 13/3/2024 to apply for a transfer certificate. I approached the accounting department and asked for the pending fee structure. The staff provided me with a printout of data from the year 2020. I was shocked to see the end of the page because the total amount summed up to AED 7,046.00. When I checked the document provided by the school management, I figured out that the fees mentioned on the document are not listed in the fact sheet of KHDA.
I asked for clarification but the accounting staff failed to explain. She then redirected me to meet another person who is supposed to be the account manager I beleive. When I went to him, he just ignored me and told me to meet the vice principal.
I had a very disturbing experience with the vice principal. When I asked her about the fee clarification, she was just beating around the bush and not providing clear information. I brought to her notice that I downloaded the KDHA fact sheet from the website and I am referring to it. She didn’t like the fact, I was referring to the fact sheet. The fees such as medical fees, id card fees, etc are optional on the KHDA fact sheet. However, vice principal rudely responded to me stating that I have to pay and it is a mandatory fee – it cannot be waived. She also stated that KHDA has already approved collecting the optional fees as mandatory fees from the parents. When I requested to meet the principal to discuss these issues, she didn’t allow me to meet and told me that she was the acting principal at the moment, which I could not believe. I am totally against paying unnecessary fees that are not listed in the KHDA fact sheet. As a parent, I would like to get clarification on this matter. These are not in line with the KHDA guidelines.
The other concerning factors are the safety and teaching quality of the school. My son was abused twice at school. One incident was in the washroom and the other incident was on the school grounds during the PE period. My son was beaten up by the senior students for a petty issue. I had also brought this up to the notice of the principal. No action was taken for those incidents.
The resignation of teaching staff has greatly affected the education quality of students. The staff were either terminated or resigned, which has mentally affected the kids in the lower grades. I believe the termination of staffs were carried out to bring monetary benefits for the school. I also want to mention that there pantry facilities were also taken away. No water, no snacks, no tea were provided for the staffs. This was all done as a part of cost cutting.
I have also noticed that the school does all the maintenance work only during the KHDA inspection time. Off lately, the school has repainted the building, that too during regular working days, and during board exam time. This work could have been done during the vacation time. Due to this, the students could not sit in classes because of the paint smell. I am not sure if they are aware of the health hazards due to this. Students had already raised this issue, but no action has been taken. Similarly, the air conditioning systems in the classrooms are not well-maintained. Students suffered a lot during the summer time.
I am deeply concerned about the future progress of the school and also have no idea about how long this fee hike culture will continue at school. Hence I have decided to transfer my son to a better school. The school is also not releasing the transfer procedure for my son.
Good School with all kind of facilities and very good Management. Very reasonable fees. Only Transportation system is required to be improved as Buses are very old also need to increase no. Of buses for the routes instead of adjusting with existing ones.

Good
The professors are extremely attentive and informed, which is the most crucial aspect of this institution. Field outings are held once a month and have played an important part in the development of the children’ personalities as well as their confidence.
