Rude, unprofessional

We went in for a joint account. They said it may not be possible as I needed an account for 6 months. They assured ne it had nothing to do with what gender the main income earner was. Turns out that was a lie. They are exist and backwards. The staff at Deira are unfriendly.
No focus on customer service. Instead of serving customers they shoe them away. We were told only one person could deal with the opening of the account which made customer service almost impossible and is ridiculous. As I pointed out “what if he died?”. Cancelling the application due to only one person being able to deal with it was nearly impossible but worth the wait. I never want to deal with this bank again.

FAB Share Credit Card

I have been using this credit card since October 2023 and used to get sharepoints (as advertised) on all of my transactions. Then suddenly in January, I stopped receiving any sharepoint. I called their customer service several times without receiving any answer. I sent several e-mails to complain also no answer. It seems that they have the “file a complaint” function on the app just to tick the box and look like a respectable institution. But in fact they are not!!!
This is the most unprofessional bank I have ever dealt with. In fact, it’s a supermarket not a bank!!!!! Their main objective is to sell credit cards (as if they were potatoes) without answering customers’ enquiries. It is so disappointing to see a bank operating in the UAE treating its customers in such a way without any action from the Central Bank.

unseccusful transaction by Al Fardan but still they FAB deducted the money

i have made two transactions via Western union / al fardan but for some reason it get rejected due to a system error but still FAB has deducted the amount. post checking with the 3 parties, including Central bank, FAB claimed that amount is hold by Central bank, i sounded am money laundering. when i called Central bank, they said we never hold any money, and they said FAB are giving false information. post calling FAB and started shouting, the supervisor said it is under our somesort of departement investigating why the amoutn is rejected, who gives a shit why, return my money if it was not reached to WU. so they supervisor said it will take 5 days, knowing that on the same day one call center Sir withing 48 hours the amount will be returned, today is the 5th day and no one even called.

they had a promotion in July 2023. If you open a i save account with a salary account you will receive a cashback as froeiner of 2500 AED . First they said after 3 month and 2 month of the first salary but of corse never came. swear to God If I could put zero stars I would do that…they took money from the account many times while I was using it and receiving money every month and when I stopped using it they start taking 25 aed + 175 aed every month as a fee which is very high.Then,I have been calling customer service agents for months to solve the problem and close this account and they cannot help me to clear transactions and proceed with the closure.

Unsatisfactory Experience with Loan Services with Ganitha Dravidan

I recently had an unsettling experience with an agent named Ganitha Dravidan, who represented herself as a loan facilitator. I was promised a loan on the condition of transferring my salary to FAB. Unfortunately, the promises made regarding the loan and its interest rates were not fulfilled.

The interaction began with assurances of a straightforward loan process. However, as the procedure progressed, there were inconsistencies in the information provided, especially concerning the interest rates. Despite adhering to the initial requirements, including transferring my salary as instructed, the loan I was promised was never disbursed.

This experience has left me feeling misled and I am concerned about the legitimacy of these offers. I came to MOE branch to talk with someone about email response about my card dispute. Beware of the fraudulent sales representatives from Dubai First FAB, when it comes to Credit cards offers. Rightfully confirm the credit card information (offers etc ) provided by the sales representative , by directly calling FAB/ Dubai First contact centre.
Some sales representatives are providing falsified information and pushing the customer to apply for card and nobody bothers to take action against them. It happened to me just recently so want to caution general public about this fact.

About cheque book

I was in an emergency to get a cheque book from fab and I applied through the mobile application and it shown that my account in restricted for a cheque book, I visited the fab branch in Sahara center and the person who was there to help me said nothing to do from here call the customer service itself nothing fishy about my account and my account transactions are perfect and or apply through the ATM machine I tried the ATM machine also and it didn’t work, again I call the customer care and one of the team member said they will submit the request,call them back after 48 hrs and they said my Emirates ID is expired that’s the reason why I’m not able to get the cheque book but but Emirates ID still have a validity for more than 6 months,again they resubmit the request and after 48 hrs I call them then another’s team discribed me another reason my Emirates id is not upadated how can they say like that… first day they said id expired thats the reason ,for the very second day they are telling my id is not updated….very disappointing and unfair situation..how can we trust such a non client oriented institution verymuch fed up with this….

Very bad experience with FAB credit card. They are fraud no. 1. Offered me credit card with “no annual fees” + 800/- cash back in 45 days. Guess what, after receiving 1st statement, they charged membership fees + other related charges. When called their call center, they informed me that there no card “free for life”. All cards are chargeable.
They will setup an internal inquiry but they will not notify me the result (laugh).
+971 54 433 8420, this is the number of the person who mis-guided me with false promises and incorrect details. I wasted 10/15 days behind them, finally ended with paying all fees. Guys be aware and take details in their letterhead, before going for any deal or better avoid any kind of deals with this bank. They are really inspiring us to go stronger!

FAB is not safe Bank

2 month before unauthorized transaction, total 118,881.54AED were deducted from my account, I didn`t received any OTP for all these transaction. Went immediately to Bank, requested to reverse the transactions, they insist to report Police, I did the same. Despite police intervention and the perpetrator being held accountable, FAB has not taken any action to refund the unauthorized amounts. Emails and calls to the Bank’s customer care service yielded no results, with consistent responses that the matter is with the fraud team. Despite our follow-ups, there has been a lack of communication from FAB’s end, and the bank’s responses have been unreasonably delayed. After 60 days Bank sent e-mail, “Thank you for writing to us. We would like to inform you that the transaction is older than 60 days and hence is out of the dispute frame“.

Worst costumer service EVER. They treat you like you are no one. I went 2 times to the FAB Nakheel Mall and the service was horrendous. Starting from the man at the reception stand. Very bad customer service management

(Dated: 26/10/2023) Actually before one week I visited Mall Of The Emirates branch to open current (salaries) account in FAB, the female staff on reception were not allowing me to take token from the machine as she started asking me too many questions as if I’m In front of investigation agency. Finally when I got the token and after an hour when my turn to the counter with bank staff communication, after few questions he became irritated and shown very weird attitude and his behavior was really ackward. Anyhow I were told that I can open any sort of account through FAB application so I came to my residence and installed FAB application. I fill up all the form through FAB application and sent to them. In few minutes I received an acknowledgement through [email protected]. until now, I didn’t get any positive response.

I MADE A WORLD RECORD WITH FAB by sending them almost 100 emails and in reply of each email I got only acknowledgment but no one from FAB contacted me until today.

THE MOST WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The above detail is honest and for those who want to open bank account with FAB to understand there are many other good banks in the UAE.

I’m pretty sure after reading my review, the FAB social media team will reply with apology but they will not do reform. This is what they can do!

Chat you in the Mortgage pre approval

They offer better interest rates on mortgages but the pre approval is done on loans without proper checks. They pre approve and then the paperwork processing takes more than a month keeping us waiting and following up constantly only after a month and spending initial costs from our side, they come back stating loan is rejected verbally with not an acceptable reasoning. Refuse to send email regarding rejection. We’ve not only lost our money but also time and efforts. Customer care has not reverted on our complaint either.

This is the worse ,unfaithful , disrespectful and destructive bank that I have experienced .They take advantage of you and they will not show any mercy to destroy you if you do not fulfill their greed. When you are having a problem or you have a matter to address there is no way to reach anyone for help and this is soooooo frustrating, they got no customer service, unreachable staff not by phone or email or even call center, no follow-ups on pending issues unless you go physically to the bank
the worst experience I’ve ever had is with their phone system, you will feel like you are in a loop with these unhelpful automated responses from this virtual assistant, which neither solved my problem nor connected me with a human agent,
it is called customer care for a reason, only humans can really care and understand your problem

I have asked this bank to close and cancel my card on 2015. After 8 years, imagine 8 years! They sent me a statement from their collections department for annual fee charges and overlimit fee which after 8 long years it amounted to more than AED 2000. The worst part is because of this mistake, they impacted my credit score from the bureau imagine they have placed me in non payment since December!!!!! I asked them to amend my score in the bureau but they said it is not possible as it is an anual limit charges. If they were able to put this is the bureau why they cant amend it? Seriously This bank is not only cheaters but they will screw your life just like they did to me.

Dear sir,

I am getting bill asking to pay the purchase fees and three months non payment penalty for a credit which I didnt recieve

I have applied for a card in nov. 2022 When one of your employee mr. Rajasekhar mob # 0509518998 who approached me to offer a free for life credit card offering cash backs and all. Since i was having some other credit cards i denied it. He chased me even when i was admitted in hospital. He offered cash backs and finally i agreed to purchase a card. You could see the attached whatsapp chat which we had in addition to his promise calls many time. I gave my soft copy documents to apply for the card. When the courier guy came to deliver the card he asked me to sign on some terms and conditions from bank (3 or more pages) to recieve the card. Since the same is not a usual practise and i didn’t agree with Rajsekhar while i gave my documents that i will sign off some documents of bank other than courier delivery, i called rajasekhar and informed him clearly that i didn’t agree to sign of any documents. More over i was too busy in my work and i don’t have time to review the whole terms and conditions, more over the delivery guy was in a hurry to go back he returned without delivering my card. Rajasekhar know that I didn’t recieve the card.

I didnt have any information after that until i got this bill yesterday demanding payment for purchase and three months penalty for default payment.

I am too frustrated recieving the bill for a credit card which is not in my posession. Your sales agent have cheated me hiding informations from me.

I urgently request you to call back the subject bill and give me a clearance letter so that my credit score not effected.

I called your customer service number and he didn’t help , instead he told me that you back office team will contact me on this. But i got a message saying that he initiated a request to cancel the subject card.

As per my experience this is only one bank will charge you annual fee for your credit without activation. They don’t tell you anything about cards, they tell card is free for life. They insist you to sign the documents.
I have never seen a such ridiculous, dishonesty. I’m paying AED 315 annual fee to the bank without activating the credit card. This is good business 😊. God bless FAB. I have cheated and learnt a lesson. Beware Guys. Thanks.

Cheated twice by FAB

Non recommended to anyone. I was cheated twice by this bank. First time I was given Etihad credit card and was told by the bank representative that there is no annual fees to be paid but I was charged 2500 AED annual fees. Then when I requested to cancel it I was convinced after many phone calls from different employees from that bank to replace Etihad card with Infinite Elite card which has no annual fees for life. I received the card and I didn’t even activate it then after 3 years I was shocked when I received an email from this bank with an estatement of 840AED annual fees to pay.

Bad Customer Service! False Info to achieve their Target

I bought credit card from them, it was going well. I used to get points. But i was not using much. One day i got call from one of the FAB agent saying he will give me the insurance which is free. I dont have to pay anything. In this way i should not close my card. But after a month i was getting bill for that insurance which he promised. I paid complete debit amount and stopped using their card. Requested them to cancel the insurance and waive off the charges. They promised to cancel the plan, but told to pay all amount which i did not used at all. I paid fully. still they did not close my card or the plan at all. I tried to call them multiple times requested them that i got cheated. When i called thier manager. He shouted at me and told to pay the bill completely. I regaret that i bought FAB card. I will just close the card. I will never suggest to buy from FAB. They just loot the people to fullfil their targt. Pathetic service.

I received my Fab salary account kit. I was instructed to activate through fab mobile app. I need to enter customer ID . I entered the customer id number provided in the kit. It gave me wrong number. After multiple times I got a customer service person and he advised me take the 7 digits from the middle of the number provided. I don’t understand why this thing wasn’t mentioned in the kit. I had to call to get this info. Second, I need my Iban. I searched all over the app. No use. I googled. Had to call. But the virtual assistant doesn’t understand my need and won’t let me get an officer. I see a lot of news of fab as the best bank in LinkedIn. This is my first experience with fab. My previous bank with dib is far far more better. When I switched bank I expected more.

I have opened a current account in Mushriffmall Branch UAE and every month there is a deduction of 25AED mentioning the minimum balance charge.

when the account was opened customer service agent named Mohammed Ibrahim mentioned there is no minimum balance requirement. now every month I have to talk to customer care agents and everyone gives me different updates when I mentioned I will cancel the account there also have charges.

Desired outcome: I cannot maintain the balance so kindly refund my amount. and allow me to cancel my account without a fee

If I could rate it less than 1 star… it would be MINUS A MILLION STARS!!! This is the worst bank in the UAE, let this be a warning to anyone wishing to open a bank account… LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!
Where to start: the lies, the unprofessional, rude customer service representatives, the excuses to cause delays, the misinformation, the lack of empathy…. the list is endless.
I had a ”dormant account” (an account that hadn’t been used for over 3 years) I wanted a liability letter (which has a validity of 14 days from being requested, and can take up to 10 days to get to you!), to close it and my credit card with them… they had been adding charges to the ”dormant” account!! Though I had had no notification (they claim I was sent an e-statement every 3 months that I couldn’t access and I had no need to as I was under the impression it was at zero balance). I put in a request to have the charges removed… once I’d reactivated the account…. 2 months later and more charges added, I was told that they couldn’t reverse the charges as there was still a ”live” direct debit attached to it.. again no notification given within the 3 years of not using the account! Trying to call the call centre… rude, unhelpful customer service representatives who on more than two occasions hung up on me.
Don’t try to get things sorted in the bank, you are told to go online, call the call centre (NOT a free phone number) or use the mobile app, all of which give different information! By the way.. the ”dormant account” did not show up on my mobile app that lists my accounts.. again how am I supposed to know! I couldn’t put money into the account as it was ”dormant”, but the bank would add charges and fees every time a ”live” direct debit was attempted to be taken from a ”dormant’ account… how does that even work!! but apparently…. it’s not the bank’s error! No one wants to help you, but they are quite happy to take your money…

I miss NBAD! That was a Bank! This new “FAB” is a pretentious CorpoRAT.
To resolve any issue you have to call and waste time talking to their AI answer machine (Wohoo! So technologically advanced). They lied to me about my mortgage options. When I told them I am transferring (refinancing) my mortgage through another bank, they offered me a solution.. to take a Personal loan to cover the mortgage! They think we are dumb!
Going to their branch does not resolve anything – they tell you “Contact our call centre”. WHAT IS THE POINT OF YOUR PHYSICAL BRANCH?!
They have “services” on their APP. When you request for some of them (Clearance Letter for example), it tells you “You cannot request for this on the APP”….Then what IS THE POINT OF YOUR APP! Shit bank! Shit service! I feel sorry for your call centre staff!

Does not keep security features for the banking. They give more preference for the Merchant than the customer. Even though if we enter wrong card details, they will deduct money from your account according to the merchant claim count. Dears, do not be happy if you get credit card from FAB. Better to use any other Banks credit card for your good. Almost last 6 months i am behind FAB for a charge of AED 7500 plus which amount was not authorized by me as i have received OTP from bank without any amount or payer name when i have ordered AED 20 for online purchase. Same time got message that AED 7,500 plus charged to my card. Within minutes informed bank that i have not approved this amount and after weeks they told to file dispute. After months bank said cannot reverse and i have to pay. Complaint and case filed in eveywhere possible but their reply is FAB is out of their Service. So FAB is a special bank that nobody can ask or complaint. If any charges you see in your card you have to pay. In addition to that they have charged additional AED 1,750 as Finance Charge during this dispute period and they said even that is not reversible as it is their Fees. We do not have any place to complaint and need to pay what all bank says. Once you are into FAB customer service you will come to know how it will make your life horrible. They send simply a 6 digit number as OTP without amount and payer name and the amount and payer is up to them how much will be charged to your card. Please use any other banks products as they will show humanity concern even if some scams happened in your card you can reach other banks through many ways. Here FAB will not consider your email and need to call 600525500 and hold for hours and the same continues for many days which will cost you 40 fils per minute for each long calls. If you take leave and visit their branch, the staff is same as seeing thousands of people with same complaint everyday and laugh at you.

We went in for a joint account. They said it may not be possible as I needed an account for 6 months. They assured ne it had nothing to do with what gender the main income earner was. Turns out that was a lie. They are exist and backwards. The staff at Deira are unfriendly.
No focus on customer service. Instead of serving customers they shoe them away. We were told only one person could deal with the opening of the account which made customer service almost impossible and is ridiculous. As I pointed out “what if he died?”. Cancelling the application due to only one person being able to deal with it was nearly impossible but worth the wait. I never want to deal with this bank again.

I have been using this credit card since October 2023 and used to get sharepoints (as advertised) on all of my transactions. Then suddenly in January, I stopped receiving any sharepoint. I called their customer service several times without receiving any answer. I sent several e-mails to complain also no answer. It seems that they have the “file a complaint” function on the app just to tick the box and look like a respectable institution. But in fact they are not!!!
This is the most unprofessional bank I have ever dealt with. In fact, it’s a supermarket not a bank!!!!! Their main objective is to sell credit cards (as if they were potatoes) without answering customers’ enquiries. It is so disappointing to see a bank operating in the UAE treating its customers in such a way without any action from the Central Bank.

i have made two transactions via Western union / al fardan but for some reason it get rejected due to a system error but still FAB has deducted the amount. post checking with the 3 parties, including Central bank, FAB claimed that amount is hold by Central bank, i sounded am money laundering. when i called Central bank, they said we never hold any money, and they said FAB are giving false information. post calling FAB and started shouting, the supervisor said it is under our somesort of departement investigating why the amoutn is rejected, who gives a shit why, return my money if it was not reached to WU. so they supervisor said it will take 5 days, knowing that on the same day one call center Sir withing 48 hours the amount will be returned, today is the 5th day and no one even called.

About cheque book

I was in an emergency to get a cheque book from fab and I applied through the mobile application and it shown that my account in restricted for a cheque book, I visited the fab branch in Sahara center and the person who was there to help me said nothing to do from here call the customer service itself nothing fishy about my account and my account transactions are perfect and or apply through the ATM machine I tried the ATM machine also and it didn’t work, again I call the customer care and one of the team member said they will submit the request,call them back after 48 hrs and they said my Emirates ID is expired that’s the reason why I’m not able to get the cheque book but but Emirates ID still have a validity for more than 6 months,again they resubmit the request and after 48 hrs I call them then another’s team discribed me another reason my Emirates id is not upadated how can they say like that… first day they said id expired thats the reason ,for the very second day they are telling my id is not updated….very disappointing and unfair situation..how can we trust such a non client oriented institution verymuch fed up with this….

Very bad experience with FAB credit card. They are fraud no. 1. Offered me credit card with “no annual fees” + 800/- cash back in 45 days. Guess what, after receiving 1st statement, they charged membership fees + other related charges. When called their call center, they informed me that there no card “free for life”. All cards are chargeable.
They will setup an internal inquiry but they will not notify me the result (laugh).
+971 54 433 8420, this is the number of the person who mis-guided me with false promises and incorrect details. I wasted 10/15 days behind them, finally ended with paying all fees. Guys be aware and take details in their letterhead, before going for any deal or better avoid any kind of deals with this bank. They are really inspiring us to go stronger!

2 month before unauthorized transaction, total 118,881.54AED were deducted from my account, I didn`t received any OTP for all these transaction. Went immediately to Bank, requested to reverse the transactions, they insist to report Police, I did the same. Despite police intervention and the perpetrator being held accountable, FAB has not taken any action to refund the unauthorized amounts. Emails and calls to the Bank’s customer care service yielded no results, with consistent responses that the matter is with the fraud team. Despite our follow-ups, there has been a lack of communication from FAB’s end, and the bank’s responses have been unreasonably delayed. After 60 days Bank sent e-mail, “Thank you for writing to us. We would like to inform you that the transaction is older than 60 days and hence is out of the dispute frame“.

(Dated: 26/10/2023) Actually before one week I visited Mall Of The Emirates branch to open current (salaries) account in FAB, the female staff on reception were not allowing me to take token from the machine as she started asking me too many questions as if I’m In front of investigation agency. Finally when I got the token and after an hour when my turn to the counter with bank staff communication, after few questions he became irritated and shown very weird attitude and his behavior was really ackward. Anyhow I were told that I can open any sort of account through FAB application so I came to my residence and installed FAB application. I fill up all the form through FAB application and sent to them. In few minutes I received an acknowledgement through [email protected]. until now, I didn’t get any positive response.

I MADE A WORLD RECORD WITH FAB by sending them almost 100 emails and in reply of each email I got only acknowledgment but no one from FAB contacted me until today.

THE MOST WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The above detail is honest and for those who want to open bank account with FAB to understand there are many other good banks in the UAE.

I’m pretty sure after reading my review, the FAB social media team will reply with apology but they will not do reform. This is what they can do!

They offer better interest rates on mortgages but the pre approval is done on loans without proper checks. They pre approve and then the paperwork processing takes more than a month keeping us waiting and following up constantly only after a month and spending initial costs from our side, they come back stating loan is rejected verbally with not an acceptable reasoning. I have asked this bank to close and cancel my card on 2015. After 8 years, imagine 8 years! They sent me a statement from their collections department for annual fee charges and overlimit fee which after 8 long years it amounted to more than AED 2000. The worst part is because of this mistake, they impacted my credit score from the bureau imagine they have placed me in non payment since December!!!!! I asked them to amend my score in the bureau but they said it is not possible as it is an anual limit charges. If they were able to put this is the bureau why they cant amend it? I am getting bill asking to pay the purchase fees and three months non payment penalty for a credit which I didnt recieve

I have applied for a card in nov. 2022 When one of your employee mr. Rajasekhar mob # 0509518998 who approached me to offer a free for life credit card offering cash backs and all. Since i was having some other credit cards i denied it. He chased me even when i was admitted in hospital. He offered cash backs and finally i agreed to purchase a card. You could see the attached whatsapp chat which we had in addition to his promise calls many time. I gave my soft copy documents to apply for the card. When the courier guy came to deliver the card he asked me to sign on some terms and conditions from bank (3 or more pages) to recieve the card. Since the same is not a usual practise and i didn’t agree with Rajsekhar while i gave my documents that i will sign off some documents of bank other than courier delivery, i called rajasekhar and informed him clearly that i didn’t agree to sign of any documents. More over i was too busy in my work and i don’t have time to review the whole terms and conditions, more over the delivery guy was in a hurry to go back he returned without delivering my card. Rajasekhar know that I didn’t recieve the card.

I didnt have any information after that until i got this bill yesterday demanding payment for purchase and three months penalty for default payment.

I am too frustrated recieving the bill for a credit card which is not in my posession. Your sales agent have cheated me hiding informations from me.

I urgently request you to call back the subject bill and give me a clearance letter so that my credit score not effected.

I called your customer service number and he didn’t help , instead he told me that you back office team will contact me on this. But i got a message saying that he initiated a request to cancel the subject card.

As per my experience this is only one bank will charge you annual fee for your credit without activation. They don’t tell you anything about cards, they tell card is free for life. They insist you to sign the documents.

Non recommended to anyone. I was cheated twice by this bank. First time I was given Etihad credit card and was told by the bank representative that there is no annual fees to be paid but I was charged 2500 AED annual fees. Then when I requested to cancel it I was convinced after many phone calls from different employees from that bank to replace Etihad card with Infinite Elite card which has no annual fees for life. I received the card and I didn’t even activate it then after 3 years I was shocked when I received an email from this bank with an estatement of 840AED annual fees to pay.

Bad Customer Service! False Info to achieve their Target

I bought credit card from them, it was going well. I used to get points. But i was not using much. One day i got call from one of the FAB agent saying he will give me the insurance which is free. I dont have to pay anything. In this way i should not close my card. But after a month i was getting bill for that insurance which he promised. I paid complete debit amount and stopped using their card. Requested them to cancel the insurance and waive off the charges. They promised to cancel the plan, but told to pay all amount which i did not used at all. I paid fully. still they did not close my card or the plan at all. I tried to call them multiple times requested them that i got cheated. When i called thier manager. He shouted at me and told to pay the bill completely. I regaret that i bought FAB card. I received my Fab salary account kit. I was instructed to activate through fab mobile app. I need to enter customer ID . I entered the customer id number provided in the kit. It gave me wrong number. After multiple times I got a customer service person and he advised me take the 7 digits from the middle of the number provided. I don’t understand why this thing wasn’t mentioned in the kit. I had to call to get this info. Second, I need my Iban. I searched all over the app. No use. I googled. Had to call. But the virtual assistant doesn’t understand my need and won’t let me get an officer. I see a lot of news of fab as the best bank in LinkedIn. This is my first experience with fab. My previous bank with dib is far far more better. When I switched bank I expected more.

The worst customer service as they are representing the bank name. Especially Mr. Vaseem in Mall of the Emirates Branch. He will not let you finish what you are saying. One of the Worst Bank I have ever come across in UAE from the day 1 i opened the account I am facing issues every month I have new problems

I have opened a current account in Mushriffmall Branch UAE and every month there is a deduction of 25AED mentioning the minimum balance charge.

when the account was opened customer service agent named Mohammed Ibrahim mentioned there is no minimum balance requirement. now every month I have to talk to customer care agents and everyone gives me different updates when I mentioned I will cancel the account there also have charges.

Desired outcome: I cannot maintain the balance so kindly refund my amount. and allow me to cancel my account without a fee

If I could rate it less than 1 star… it would be MINUS A MILLION STARS!!! This is the worst bank in the UAE, let this be a warning to anyone wishing to open a bank account… LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!
Where to start: the lies, the unprofessional, rude customer service representatives, the excuses to cause delays, the misinformation, the lack of empathy…. the list is endless.
I had a ”dormant account” (an account that hadn’t been used for over 3 years) I wanted a liability letter (which has a validity of 14 days from being requested, and can take up to 10 days to get to you!), to close it and my credit card with them… they had been adding charges to the ”dormant” account!! Though I had had no notification (they claim I was sent an e-statement every 3 months that I couldn’t access and I had no need to as I was under the impression it was at zero balance). I put in a request to have the charges removed… once I’d reactivated the account…. 2 months later and more charges added, I was told that they couldn’t reverse the charges as there was still a ”live” direct debit attached to it.. again no notification given within the 3 years of not using the account! Trying to call the call centre… rude, unhelpful customer service representatives who on more than two occasions hung up on me.
Don’t try to get things sorted in the bank, you are told to go online, call the call centre (NOT a free phone number) or use the mobile app, all of which give different information! By the way.. the ”dormant account” did not show up on my mobile app that lists my accounts.. again how am I supposed to know! I couldn’t put money into the account as it was ”dormant”, but the bank would add charges and fees every time a ”live” direct debit was attempted to be taken from a ”dormant’ account… how does that even work!! but apparently…. it’s not the bank’s error! No one wants to help you, but they are quite happy to take your money…

I miss NBAD! That was a Bank! This new “FAB” is a pretentious CorpoRAT.
To resolve any issue you have to call and waste time talking to their AI answer machine (Wohoo! So technologically advanced). They lied to me about my mortgage options. When I told them I am transferring (refinancing) my mortgage through another bank, they offered me a solution.. to take a Personal loan to cover the mortgage! They think we are dumb!
Going to their branch does not resolve anything – they tell you “Contact our call centre”. WHAT IS THE POINT OF YOUR PHYSICAL BRANCH?!
They have “services” on their APP. When you request for some of them (Clearance Letter for example), it tells you “You cannot request for this on the APP”….Then what IS THE POINT OF YOUR APP! Shit bank! Shit service! I feel sorry for your call centre staff!

Since one week I m contacting with costumer care regarding my closing credit card but so many calls I got the amount which I have to pay for closing and I transferred the money same time next day again I called to costumer service and requested for cancelation he said it’s done you will receive your request number trough email .but I didn’t received any cancellations number and I called again that lady was so kind she heard my problem she said there’s no any requests she raised my complain again after that I received a call from fab she said investigated there is fault from agent bcs he didn’t raised your request but your new statement generated and you have to pay again interest money I told her that is not my mistake and why I have to pay again which I already paid that is your fault you have to pay that is my right .

I wont advise anyone to deal with FAB bank, I m running after them for the past three months to pay my CC pending amount and they are just making excuses to keep on adding extra charges on top of the installments. Does not keep security features for the banking. They give more preference for the Merchant than the customer. Even though if we enter wrong card details, they will deduct money from your account according to the merchant claim count. Dears, do not be happy if you get credit card from FAB. Better to use any other Banks credit card for your good. Almost last 6 months i am behind FAB for a charge of AED 7500 plus which amount was not authorized by me as i have received OTP from bank without any amount or payer name when i have ordered AED 20 for online purchase. Same time got message that AED 7,500 plus charged to my card. Within minutes informed bank that i have not approved this amount and after weeks they told to file dispute. After months bank said cannot reverse and i have to pay. Complaint and case filed in eveywhere possible but their reply is FAB is out of their Service. So FAB is a special bank that nobody can ask or complaint. If any charges you see in your card you have to pay. In addition to that they have charged additional AED 1,750 as Finance Charge during this dispute period and they said even that is not reversible as it is their Fees. We do not have any place to complaint and need to pay what all bank says. Once you are into FAB customer service you will come to know how it will make your life horrible. They send simply a 6 digit number as OTP without amount and payer name and the amount and payer is up to them how much will be charged to your card. Please use any other banks products as they will show humanity concern even if some scams happened in your card you can reach other banks through many ways. Here FAB will not consider your email and need to call 600525500 and hold for hours and the same continues for many days which will cost you 40 fils per minute for each long calls. If you take leave and visit their branch, the staff is same as seeing thousands of people with same complaint everyday and laugh at you.
