Not helpful at all

Not helpful at all. When you need letters or special request, they will not provide. They all rely to system and computer. No humans in this bank, no managers to decide, no matter what your situation is, they will not help, only because of system generated. They are only good in asking you to transfer to them and avail offers, but once you are with them, they will not help at all.

Terrible for personal accounts. Client service just want to hit target

I approached EI bank to open a personal account and the client service Mr. Faheem immediately started processing my request the moment he realized I have US nationality and the amount of money I will be depositing. I received the debit card and check book within two days. But only after few days he reaches out to me asking for my second nationality to be submitted so that they can process and activate my account. I waited and waited for over 3 weeks. After several follow ups, he doesn’t respond anymore. This is the worst experience I have had with a bank. Wasted my time waiting for the account to open and caused me so much trouble managing money and transactions I had to do during this period. Never recommended for unprofessionalism and misalignment between their department. Client service just want to hit their target of getting new client and don’t care after that.

The EMI is ridiculous, the customer service is absolute chaos, profiteering rip off and worse than thieves. There is no customer feedback and the head office is the worst with no parking slots and I hope it closes down quickly.

Extremely Poor Service

Been a client of the bank since 2011. The bank since 202 has had the most poor level of banking service i have come across. Consultants do not follow up nor have enough knowledge. The bank can frustrate a client beyond reasoning sending clients in circles between branches, call centers and internal departments. I have had to deal with errors and mistakes made by the bank for almost a year to my prejudice. Supervisors do not return calls and lie about what they have done if you open a service request.

Shariaa principles include ensuring that individuals are respected and treated with honesty. The bank appears to have strayed from their founding principles.

Terrible Call Centre Customer Service

Horrible call centre customer service you can get. My Emirates ID was not update for quite sometime so I went to the bank to update the ID which did not work out and was asked to drop an email to eidaprofileupdate with my docs but it would take 8-10 days. I sent that on 25th Oct and it is almost one month with no update and my card still blocked. In between, call the customer service several times, first one said that it is on process and would soon be updated. The second one told me that ENBD bank had blocked my card actually which was very unusual. Upon visiting ENBD, they asked to update the KYC but they had nothing to do with blocking the card. Today I called the horrible CS of EI only to know that there is another email address to send the docs to. Extremely disappointed with the service.

customer care support is very poor

whenever receive a call from customer,please treat as urgent and rectify immediately. customer has to wait 22 days or 7 days for your convenience it is not fair. every time you are telling software problem or technical issue but you are not able to solve your problem, why should we trust emirates Islamic bank, we have lot of other banks in UAE. if you are failing to fulfill the customer needs why should depend EIB. I am totally disappointed your service. My money also blocked because unable to transfer due to EIB technical issue. Two transfer still not received beneficiary last 14 days. My situation is now between devil and sea. who can help me.

Failure to support

Very very bad experience with the bank
The call center service doesn’t direct in a proper way, when i was asked by the employer to add my card number, the line is closed
I called 10 times still didnt get the service i need
Went to the branch and didn’t help me as well
You can check the calls that you use for improvement!
I was charged for an unactivated credit card and i dont know what i have been charged for
No data from the bank about this
one of the employees informed me that card is probably hacked and I’m not getting the support i need.
This is not the first time i get hacked in the bank

Stay away from EIB

I was looking at emirates islamic bank as an option for personal finance. Initially I recieved a call back from a female agent who started the process. A month later she was still confused so I went to another bank. A while later I was contacted by a guy to join emirates islamic bank. He offered me a good rate so I went with him on condition that I be given a credit card. He guaranteed me that he will get me a credit card with 10000AED. I very clearly explained to senly that this was the reason that I will come to his bank and also for 3 months differed payment on my loan. He processed the loan only to make me wait a further 2 months for my card. Making excuses all the time. Eventually it went through with many delays so I didn’t even get a deferral. He said that he will give me another deferral after my first payment but I will also get my credit card. I asked him every 2 or 3 days but there was always an excuse. Then he got another guy involved. They started a whole new application that has now been rejected. I have lost all faith in this bank. I would never recommend it to anyone as it has no redeeming qualities. You can’t even get through on the call centre and all the agents lie. I have sent through complaints in social media and email. They have told me that they will train their staff. I guess this is how they value customers. Please think twice before joining this bank. I wouldn’t even give it one star to be honest

I am calling from 2 days for cash on call it’s emergency for me my home member is hospitalized and amount is credit to credit card just to credit for debit card they are taking more thn a day i am calling bank 10 times a day still i am not getting amount i am in need so argent to send money ??? RM in business banking are completely unprofessional, If you are a SME or a Mid size entity than avoid banking with EIB, We have one designated RM from day 1 but we are getting 0 support, We change our RM also but we are facing the same issue, Whenever you call them they will say i am in a meeting and will call you back but you never receive a call bank. I guess they are doing meeting with each other so they can fool the clients.

Worst Customer Service in EIB Dubai Mall

Worst experienced I ever had from Personal Banking Counter #5 at EIB Dubai Mall. They keep calling new customers even if they have seen me and heard already complaining waited already 1hr and they told me complaining to them was wrong because even I am an existing EIB customer I am only a regular customer and those who are entertained was VIP and priority. Never deal with this bank it will be a nightmare worst experience ever

They give false information and cheat from the first process I did with the bank till the current one it was with suffer consuming too much time they dishonest and cheating that they ruin all my financial plans from a year till now first I took buy out loan with bank they promised 20 times my salary with 3 months grace period they give 15 times my salary with no grace period even they charged me 1st payment after 15 days I took loan, they blocked my end of service and my salary when shifting from new job to other and after submitting all necessary docs to unblock it they suffered me for one month calling call center visiting branched till I get my salary with current comp unblocked although they were taking their payments on time from the amount holder, previous salary I was getting end of month new salary during first week of the month they charged a lot of late payment fees on loan and credit card and make the process long to change the due date last thing and the worst and cheat thing they did now is that I closed all my credit card balance with interests all after calling their call to close the installment plan then they made me wait 2 weeks to be able to use the card again cz they were saying closing process will take 7 working days then I was surprised that my card balance become in minus I checked credit card statement they were still charging the previous installment plan from Nov 3 the time I closed full till march and regardless the complaints I did they took the amount twice giving a reason there was no close request on system and now I am waiting to complain this bank to uae Central bank cz they cheat and took money twice from me and I had proof how many time I called the call center and asked if my plan is closed and I can use card again every process with them takes forever to be done and it will be done in cheat way regardless the time u keep waiting to reach their call center and when agents shift is about to end they will cut the call and u have to wait again half an hour everytime to reach another and explain again ur case never ever trust this bank and deal with them as u will suffer a lot

Very bad customer service and agents are worse

I have applied for a personal loan and it got approved already. since it was a buy out from another bank, my company is expecting a lot of documentations which was provided with them. I have applied since July and the agent said my money is in my account but i couldn’t withdraw it because of some issues which was not relayed to me. And last week i received a message that the bank will deduct me my first EMI even without the loan that i have applied for? Really Emirates Islamic? What kind of process is this? Its à cheating! I do not recommend this bank at all. CSR on mails and calls are also worse. calls are not getting through while emails they will reply every one week. you will be lucky to receive reply if its less than 8 days.

Charged penalty of 265 DHS for spending 80 DHS

Since I crossed overlimit my card, without my knowledge I spent 80DHS for which the bank charged me 265 DHS.
Atone they allow you to overspend and at the other end they will penalize you dearly which you cannot forget in life and never take credit cards again.

Annual fees on a Credit Card without permission

I took out a CC with annual fees but a few weeks ago when I noticed a 320aed charge on the card that I rarely use, I contact and requested what that was. When they said from this year this card has an annual fee I asked to cancel it. After hours of being on hold and passed on from one person to another, as well as several visits to branches with no success because you can only deal with CC on the phone (ridiculous; they act as if CC is not part of their bank!!) finally I was offered a solution!!!! (a blackmail in fact…) that they will ONLY cancel that card if I replace it with another CC. One with a higher annual fee! and one with higher limit!!! As crazy as it sounds, that was THE ONLY solution and eventually after weeks I stopped trying as I was so stressed out and my mental health was worth more than 320aed. But the bank itself, IS TRULY TERRIBLE when it comes to this. I must say I have a VERY VERY good Bank Relationship Manager. He is wonderful but there was nothing he could do in this matter.

Worst Customer Service in EIB Dubai Mall

Worst experienced I ever had from Personal Banking Counter #5 at EIB Dubai Mall. They keep calling new customers even if they have seen me and heard already complaining waited already 1hr and they told me complaining to them was wrong because even I am an existing EIB customer I am only a regular customer and those who are entertained was VIP and priority. I got my SOA after 2hrs

Never deal with this bank it will be a nightmare worst experience ever

They give false information and cheat from the first process I did with the bank till the current one it was with suffer consuming too much time they dishonest and cheating that they ruin all my financial plans from a year till now first I took buy out loan with bank they promised 20 times my salary with 3 months grace period they give 15 times my salary with no grace period even they charged me 1st payment after 15 days I took loan, they blocked my end of service and my salary when shifting from new job to other and after submitting all necessary docs to unblock it they suffered me for one month calling call center visiting branched till I get my salary with current comp unblocked although they were taking their payments on time from the amount holder, previous salary I was getting end of month new salary during first week of the month they charged a lot of late payment fees on loan and credit card and make the process long to change the due date last thing and the worst and cheat thing they did now is that I closed all my credit card balance with interests all after calling their call to close the installment plan then they made me wait 2 weeks to be able to use the card again cz they were saying closing process will take 7 working days then I was surprised that my card balance become in minus I checked credit card statement they were still charging the previous installment plan from Nov 3 the time I closed full till march and regardless the complaints I did they took the amount twice giving a reason there was no close request on system and now I am waiting to complain this bank to uae Central bank cz they cheat and took money twice from me and I had proof how many time I called the call center and asked if my plan is closed and I can use card again every process with them takes forever to be done and it will be done in cheat way regardless the time u keep waiting to reach their call center and when agents shift is about to end they will cut the call and u have to wait again half an hour everytime to reach another and explain again ur case never ever trust this bank and deal with them as u will suffer a lot

Very bad customer service and agents are worse

I have applied for a personal loan and it got approved already. since it was a buy out from another bank, my company is expecting a lot of documentations which was provided with them. I have applied since July and the agent said my money is in my account but i couldn’t withdraw it because of some issues which was not relayed to me. And last week i received a message that the bank will deduct me my first EMI even without the loan that i have applied for? Really Emirates Islamic? What kind of process is this? Its à cheating! I do not recommend this bank at all. CSR on mails and calls are also worse. calls are not getting through while emails they will reply every one week. you will be lucky to receive reply if its less than 8 days.

Charged penalty of 265 DHS for spending 80 DHS

Since I crossed overlimit my card, without my knowledge I spent 80DHS for which the bank charged me 265 DHS.
Atone they allow you to overspend and at the other end they will penalize you dearly which you cannot forget in life and never take credit cards again.
The most misreable thing to have in life.

Annual fees on a Credit Card without permission

I took out a CC with annual fees but a few weeks ago when I noticed a 320aed charge on the card that I rarely use, I contact and requested what that was. When they said from this year this card has an annual fee I asked to cancel it. After hours of being on hold and passed on from one person to another, as well as several visits to branches with no success because you can only deal with CC on the phone (ridiculous; they act as if CC is not part of their bank!!) finally I was offered a solution!!!! (a blackmail in fact…) that they will ONLY cancel that card if I replace it with another CC. One with a higher annual fee! and one with higher limit!!! As crazy as it sounds, that was THE ONLY solution and eventually after weeks I stopped trying as I was so stressed out and my mental health was worth more than 320aed. But the bank itself, IS TRULY TERRIBLE when it comes to this. I must say I have a VERY VERY good Bank Relationship Manager. He is wonderful but there was nothing he could do in this matter.
