Mixed Experience for First-Time and Female Karters at Ekart Zabeel. Alh

If you’re new to go-karting, you might want to think twice before heading to Ekart Zabeel. As a beginner, I found the environment a bit overwhelming due to the majority of patrons being seasoned pros. The staff within the facility were indeed kind and helpful, which was a big plus. However, the outdoor staff members seemed less accommodating. As a novice, I felt judged by some of the outdoor staff for my lack of skill, which was quite disheartening during what was supposed to be a fun first experience. It’s important to note that my interactions with the Hindu staff members were positive; they were courteous and supportive.

Additionally, there seems to be a bit of favoritism at play. I noticed that friends of the staff were given extra time on the tracks, even though the standard rate is 95 AED for 7 minutes. This resulted in longer waiting times for regular customers, with some of us waiting nearly an hour for our turn. This not only felt unfair but also diminished the value of the experience.

Overall, while the indoor facility and karts are top-notch, the experience for a newbie like myself was marred by a feeling of not belonging and an apparent lack of fair play. It might be more enjoyable if you have some karting experience or if the venue could ensure a more welcoming and equitable atmosphere for all guests. For beginners, perhaps seeking a venue known for nurturing new talent might make for a better first-time experience. Alhamdulilah. Additionally, most of the reviews, including my observations, indicate that the venue might not be very comfortable for women visiting alone. There have been several mentions of staff members behaving in a flirtatious manner, which could make some guests feel uneasy. This is an important aspect for management to address to ensure a welcoming and respectful environment for all visitors. Amihssb
