Don’t book!!!!!!

This is a total scam company!!!! I would give zero stars if that was possible.
We were supposed to get the car in the airport. But no one was there and there is no desk. So in the middle of the night we had to take a cab to the hotel, which was never reimbursed!!!!

Keep away from this company!!! Never book a car with them.

the worst rental service

This is the worst service I have ever used. They provided a Chinese car instead of a Korean one and it was terrible. They couldn’t refund my deposit for four months and eventually stole 600 dirhams from me for unsuccessful transfers. They couldn’t explain the reason. I don’t recommend this service to anyone.

Avoid DriveUs Rental Company – Unprofessional and Unreliable –

I rented a car from DriveUs for three weeks, starting December 17 2024, and it was a highly disappointing experience.

Received incorrect car: Promised a 2019 Elantra equivalent but received a basic MG.

Lack of essential maintenance: Car had no washer fluid, which was a major issue on the highway.

Safety concerns: Worn-out brake pads caused constant noise and embarrassment.

Poor drop-off experience: Had to wait 20 minutes for a representative who never showed up; had to leave the car with the key in the airport parking lot.

Hidden charges: Despite rental agreement including after-hours drop-off, they wanted to charge AED 300 for it.

Untrustworthy payment practice: They actually take the money from your credit card instead of just locking the amount.

Unresponsive customer service: Multiple attempts to replace the unsafe car were ignored over a 3-week period. Company failed to show up on promised dates and times.

Overall, DriveUs is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. Strongly advise against renting from them.

If you are thinking what can i do if they don’t return my DEPOSIT ; NOTHING. They will show you random salik tolls. They will try to give you random fines. You will call them, talk to them, they will say okay no problem and 1 day later you have to explain everything to another guy like nothing happened. I am strongly disappointed with the service. We changed our car for 4 times because they sent the wrong car or the car they sent broke down. Just go with the proper rental companies. This company is a joke. 7 MONTHS I AM TRYING TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. EVERYTIME THEY ARE ADDING SOMETHING ELSE TO TAKE MONEY FROM MY DEPOSIT.

Worst rental car I ever seen around the world

I arrived at Dubai airport after 16 hours on airplane from Los Angeles I had a reservation they kept me waiting an hour to bring a car they don’t have an office in airport. I tried to extend my rental fee days more I contacted them they sent me 2 different prices I tried to pay cheaper ones but I couldn’t finally I paid expensive ones for return they ask me for 100$ return fee because my flight was 8 am and I supposed be in airport early morning

Missing Committment – Unreliable

We booked a 7-seater Mitsubishi Expander for our Dubai Trip scheduled
on December 22nd. The booking was confirmed by Drivus staff on
December 15, 2023 (7 days before our arrival). Just one day before
arrival, I also messaged them as a reminder and got confirmation that
the car will be ready for pickup at the airport, as promised. But when
we reached the airport, we had to call the staff only to be informed
that our “booked car” was not available due to some emergency (which I
assume they had given to someone else who paid more), and they
insisted that we take a 5-seater Hyundai Tucson, to which I refused as
it was not suitable for my family of 6 members.

We insisted that they give us the same car we booked to which the
agent said either take it
or leave the deal. This was the first sign of unprofessionalism. We
also requested them to reduce the agreed price as they were giving us
a smaller car but they refused to change the price. They had only one
answer – take it or leave it. Finally, after persuading them, they
promised me that the next morning, I would be delivered the car that I
booked to my hotel. I told them that they could block my security
deposit against the smaller car for the night, but the rent of the car
I would give them the next morning when I receive the car at the
hotel. But they refused to take that also. All this conversation was
on WhatsApp messages as they didn’t pick up my call either.

As we had no option at that time, and it was already around 2 hours at
the airport with children around 11 pm, we went to the car park and
explained the same thing to the driver who called another agent of
Drivus and he agreed to replace it with a bigger car which was parked
at their office site and we would have to go to the location with him.
On reaching there they gave us the bigger car (Nissan Armada), but
insisted on buying insurance, which we paid for extra. They blocked
the security deposit amount and took the rent for 10 days in advance.
Again, here I was assured that I would be contacted the next day with
the car I booked but I received no call from them during the whole 10
days. Since the car was good, I didn’t care either.

On the last day, I called them to ensure that they will be picking up
the car from the hotel as agreed earlier but they said they would
charge extra for pickup (this was also discussed during time of
booking and when I showed them their message then they sent a driver
to pick up the car)

After we left Dubai, we asked them to release our deposit amount.
Indeed, the blocked amount was released after around one month, but
they deducted a certain amount (Salik was agreed upon to be paid by us
but they deducted extra 2AED on each Salik as administration fees of
which I was not informed. When I told them about it, they said it was
mentioned on the contract but we were not informed). Further they also
deducted the amount for fuel and cleaning of the car – Firstly when
they gave us the replacement car it wasn’t clean in the first place. I
got it cleaned outside from my pocket. Secondly, we returned them the
car with more fuel than what they gave us and the contract had a
fuel-to-fuel policy so they just deducted the amount without any
reason, (I have the video and all conversations still).

Finally, when I told them that I will write all this in their review
they promised to refund the amount that they deducted, but they would
only do it to any local account and not to our overseas account as
they have to pay extra charges for that. I provided details of my
friend, but even after three months, they have not refunded me the
wrongly deducted money. And till date, we are requesting to refund the
amount but they keep giving excuses and contact numbers of different
people for us to keep following up.

They are totally unprofessional and do not care about their customers.
Even though they were at fault by not providing the booked car, they
just tried to take money from us at every stage. BE AWARE OF THEIR
BUSINESS TACTS. I do not recommend renting from them at all if you
want a peaceful trip.

This company changed my 1500 aed for security deposit like all companies do, but they never refund my money back! I wait more than month and after that they start asking me for all my personal and bank information by text messages! They tell me they can’t refund my money from my credit card at all! In 21 century I think is unbelievable!!! I never ever recommend anyone rent car in that company!!!

Great Custimwr Service

The customer Service of this company is the best from all the rental car companies in Dubai that I have tried. The prices are good and the car delivery service to my location was prompt. The only negative about the rental is the quality of the car. I had rented with them before and have had creta or kicks but this time in the same category I was given a Chinese made MG Zs ..I am not a car expert buy this car was in need of a service or the car itself was not of sound quality as when you press the gas pedal most often the car jumped as if there was a gap in the fuel flow. Not usual but was OK.

Never again They Are THEIVES stole money from my husbands account. Rented from them in July 2023 the car was average going up hill slow then when we arrived back home realised they had stolen our deposit instead of holding it. Car was in perfect condition on returning (we have video evidence of this) the company we went through to get a car from DRIVUS was VIP cars who were just as bad at communicating & making any effort to recover our money STAY AWAY FROM THE THEIVE called DRIVUS

Car Extremally Old

The car was extremally old, full of scratches and with a lot of problem. Drivus said that the car was from 2020 but i believe the car original registration was around 2012 and the second registration from 2020. The car was rented not washed with a weirdo smell. Do not rent DRIVUS car, they do not have high standards.

Drivus is the worst car company I have ever used

This is an absolute disaster of a car rental company and I’m pretty sure most reviews here are payed and fake. If you look most reviewers here have only 1 review and are level 1 so it’s pretty obvious.
They will not say car insurance is NOT INCLUDED in the price you pay, so that’s extra. They will scam you out of the deposit money, and you will never see those money ever again.
They came with another car to rent when they were supposed to pick up the one I already rented, yeah, that bad.
Any discussion with them is on the note that we’ve been busy, on a vacation, moving, etc. Four times in a row they said they will send the deposit back, asked for bank account, contract, stuff like that, but they are just stalling and never sending the money.
I have contacted the Dubai authorities and reported this company for fraud.

Poor company, damaged car after complaining driver drove family of 4 with luggage to a terrible location far from airport only to be offered a car with no fuel, warning light on tyre and no water sign.. Unprofessional after not accepting this car eventually offering a partial refund said they would drop us back at airport… Appalling disgusting service beware never hire from them manager is a horrible person with no ounce of helpfulness.
