Competition and funds transfer

Recently completed a sale and asked them to transfer funds to an AED account in the UK. They transferred the funds to GBP causing a massive loss and then sent the funds to an AED account which then converted it back to AED and again to GBP causing a £8K loss in funds received. Finance dept don’t communicated and didn’t ask before conversation to explain any potential problems prior to transfer. Upon speaking to them, they were unable to explain why they didn’t make contact in the first instance rather than going ahead with the transfer and making a costly decision. Very incompetent dept. Apart from titles and a fancy position, knowledge and common sense is lacked. Absolutely disgraceful.

Don’t use D&B Holiday Homes for your vacation stay

We booked a two bedroom luxury apartment on blue waters (52|42 Emaar) for 19 days. We are a family of four, couple with two small children. We paid 1000 aed per day for this luxury apartment it was anything but luxury. As soon as we moved in we notice this very strong smell coming from one of the bathrooms which would fill up the whole apartment, we immediately flag this with our agent to take care as we can’t function with just one washroom and the smell was unbearable. The agent totally ignored our request, said they know about the smell and will take care of it which they never did, we kept messaging and calling him, he would promise us that he will send someone to fix the problem but it was all lies. Every morning I would wake up nauseated with a headache from inhaling all the dirty fumes all night. It was a big health and safety concern inhaling fumes/gas especially with small 1 year old. The whole stay I was concern for my child well being and health. We were basically living in a luxury 1000 aed per day apartment that would smell like poop and garbage.
The other issues were the beds were made out of rocks and stones. It felt like you were lying on a bumpy road.
The lighting in the living room was horrible. As soon as the sun goes down there would be no light in the living room except for one lamp and two small lights on the ceiling (pics attached) we were just living in dark.
There was a leak in the kitchen sink, whenever I would use the sink the water would start leaking so I had put a bowl underneath to accumulate dirty water. We kept our agent of all the issues but they kept lying and ignoring us. There were so many other issues for example the whole time we were there the pool wasn’t functional, we were told that there is a private beach connected ( another lie), the traffic ti get on the highway from the building is horrible it would take you an hour to go anywhere. I’m the person who never write reviews but I really don’t want anyone else to suffer how we did. Just writing all this brings tears to my eyes as it was the most stressful experience I have ever had.
Dont use D&B for ur stay. They are terrible. Save your health and money especially if you have kids you don’t want them inhaling dirty gases/fumes.
