The world’s first 2.2 million sq.ft. nature-inspired property is scheduled for launch in 2018, and will be located beside Global Village on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Developed by Cityland Group, The mall will host international and locally-crafted retail offerings through 350+ outlets, covering trendy home furnishing stores, electronic outlets, cosmetic shops, as well as personal and banking services amongst others. A hypermarket will fill 100,000 sq.ft. of space – the largest in Dubailand, while the latest movies will be played across 10 cinema screens. The mall will plate up more than 75 global dining options in the dedicated food court and other sections. The circular-shaped property will be segregated into six thematic pavilions representing distinct global cultures that provide an immersive shopping experience for an international audience. Future plans include construction of hotel properties in the mall’s vicinity and replicating the mall concept in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Once open, Cityland Mall will redefine family entertainment by blending superior retail experience with ecological preservation.
The Central Park
An open-air, expansive and uniquely conceptualized garden will sit at the heart of Cityland Mall as its exclusive and central attraction. The 200,000 sq.ft. of landscaped park is reminiscent of Dubai Miracle Garden, and will provide a glimpse of nature’s rich biodiversity through an array of exciting activities and green units, such as: a 3,000 seat and a children’s amphitheater, 360-degree rooftop garden, Japanese garden, ancient tree garden, mini water park, and a miniature version of Miracle Garden amongst others. A walking track is also planned in this space, contributing to the Group’s fresh perspective on building properties that cultivate overall wellness. Al fresco cafés and restaurants will be opened at vantage points that overlook the garden’s scenic beauty. State-of-the-art engineering and rich expertise in maintaining green spaces in Dubai will make the garden a favourite family attraction across all seasons. Access to the garden will be free.
