Worst customer Service, I have booked air ticket from Citi bank credit card, due to some reasons, I have cancelled the ticket. Refund has been proceesed from airlines but its been 3 months I have not received it in my account. Despite following up with the citi bank team, no firm response has been given. Issue is still unresolved…..Think twice before going for any service from Citi Bank.

Hello
When I applied credit card of citi bank, from credit card sal3s department one lady called me, she offer me one card which I am eligible to get it.
She said I will get cash back dhs.500 after 3 month if I spent minimum 5000 every month for first 3 month then I will get dhs500 cash back in 4th month statement.
Now 5th month over when I called citi bank customer care for my cash back enquiry they said in ur card there is no cash policy.
She has given me wrong information, mis leading and cheated me.
I am going to cancel my citi bank credit card and going to file a complain against her in consumer court.

I took loan on credit card 4 years back for 48months and I needed to close it after 2 years. For applying a personal loan in mashreq bank. So I applied for liability letter and submitted the full amount cheque to the branch. No one told me that I need to call and ask to cancel my loan. So the money is paid to my card. Now I can see each month it deducted and loan was ongoing. Now is the last months. The amount we paid according to liability letter ran out and now they asking me to pay the rest. They were charging me interest for money that I didn’t have with me. When I call customer service they were rude and no help. Even when I go to branch they were too rude no help. Even when I write to them no answer. In customer service and branch last they understand the situation and everyone telling that they can’t help in this. This should go to legal department. Not at all professional. How can I contact legal department. Citi bank just ignoring customer rights and try to steal money from customers.

I was promised a joining bonus by the agent who signed me up for a credit card. Upon signing up, the bank told me I was not eligible for this bonus as it’s only available to online customers and not those who sign up with an agent.
In order to “investigate” the issue, the bank has put my card on a block for close to four weeks now. And no one is bothered to resolve the issue.
What a terrible experience!

Paid the credit card loan amount well before the due date through online from another bank but due to CITI bank employee mistake the same was not credited to my card with reason from the customer service, Collection team and by Manager that i had selected the payment narration as CAR SERVICE, instead of CREDIT CARD but in my swift copy and with confirmation from the debited bank the narration mentioned as CRP -CREDIT CARD SERVICE.
Also, this was not a first installment, it was a 5th Installment payment from the same bank account through online,
I have spoken to many customer service, collection team and the manager regarding the payment, all had confirmed that my payment is received but not adjusted to my card. I was also given an apology and reversal of late payment charges without adjusting the payment to my card that i had paid, instead
the bank blocked my credit card with reply, the matter is under investigation.
Since 23rd of May, on daily basis, I was called by the collection department to pay the late payment and when i informed about the payment, the collection department wants me to speak to customer service to update the payment, instead of them requesting to update the payment..
I was told by the customer service team that they had received the payment but its on hold due to the narration word and they’d informed the concerned team to update the payment but nothing happened until today (01.06.2022)
Since last Friday, 27th May the bank blocked my card instead of updating my payment and when i called the customer service, the calls are diverted to collection department and the reply from collection department is to pay the outstanding amount asap or call the customer service, we cant do anything, Its not in our hand. I even spoke to a manager – not sure he is, also told that i will write to the concerned department on top priority to handle this case and everything will be okay withing 2-3 days but there is no update and the card is still blocked. Today morning and afternoon, i called the bank to speak to the same manager, he refused to come on line, instead he told the staff, tell him, i will follow up.
Every day from 23rd May till this afternoon, collection department was/is calling and harassing me everyday asking for the pending payment without finding the solution .

I specifically approached Citibank to open a saving account to link to my other account overseas. They told me that I needed to have a credit card to do so. Not understanding differently I signed. Instead I received a very expensive credit card and no savings. I used the card once as a test case. I am unable to download the app, it just won’t work. When I try to pay online there is no account number as most is blacked out. They provide you with an option to unblock the remainder numbers but that doesn’t work. I have had around 12 phone calls trying to resolve the issue with no resolution. No I get two calls per day telling me that I need to pay them. When I explain the issue they don’t care and tell me call customer service (12 times) even though I can’t pay because these is no ability on their systems. I have gone into their branch and their staff are sitting around doing nothing. When I told them I just want to pay and close the card they tell me they can’t see my card balance, but they are happy to take my money. They told me that I have to wait for someone else. Except none of their staff really appear to be doing anything. So they want you to pay but won’t let you, they then harass you none stop to pay when blocking you from doing so after fraudulently setting you up for a card you expressly said you didn’t want and ignoring what you actually requested.
