Very disappointing customer service and warranty experience with Battmobile

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Battmobile. My car battery was still under warranty, and I expected the replacement process to be straightforward. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting for hours just to have the battery replaced.

What was even more frustrating was the lack of responsiveness and communication throughout the process. I spent approximately 12 hours communicating with the Battmobile team regarding my battery replacement, following up repeatedly about my concerns and trying to get clear information about when the issue would actually be resolved.

I communicated with several members of the customer service team, including May, Aroona, Adnan, Waisf, Shikan, Adithya Chandran, and other members of the team. Despite contacting multiple people, I felt that my calls and concerns were not being handled with the urgency and efficiency I expected from a company handling a warranty claim.

I understand that delays can sometimes happen, but the biggest issue for me was the lack of proper communication and follow-up. When a customer’s battery is under warranty, the customer should not have to spend an entire day repeatedly calling and chasing for assistance.

I hope Battmobile takes this feedback seriously and improves its warranty support, communication, and customer service process. Customers should feel that their concerns are being heard and handled, rather than having to repeatedly call just to get an update.

Very disappointing experience overall. I expected much better from Battmobile.

I would like to share my extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Battmobile in the hope that it helps others stay cautious.

Timeline of Events

21st July 2025 – I contacted Battmobile for a battery replacement, which they provided at a cost of AED 400.

A few days later, I was continuously contacted by their team to upgrade to one of their service packages.

Ms. Amira offered me a package worth AED 985, claiming that since I had already purchased the battery, it would be adjusted as free. I was convinced and ended up paying AED 585 to purchase this so-called “value package.”

About the Service Package

The package was marketed as including 1 Major Service and 2 Minor Services:

Major Service – replacement of air filters, AC filter, spark plugs, brake pads, engine oil, and filter change, plus washing services. (Note: spare parts are chargeable, but labour is free.)

Minor Services – car cleaning, engine oil and filter changes.

As my car had developed heavy brake noises and likely required brake pad replacement, I opted for the Major Service.

Service Experience

I had clear communication with Mr. Adeel and Mr. Abid, who even provided quotations and advised me to purchase spare parts (air filter, AC filter, 3 spark plugs, and brake pads). I bought them separately from another dealer for AED 525.

When the service was scheduled, Engineer Shyam was sent to execute the Major Service. I clearly informed him that all spare parts were placed inside the car for replacement.

However, when my car was returned:

None of the parts had been replaced.

My AC stopped working after their handling.

On questioning, Shyam first claimed everything was fine and no replacement was needed. Later, he changed his stance, saying the brake pads were fine but the disc rotors needed replacement – a highly questionable suggestion for a car that has only done 65,000 km.

This contradiction between their team members clearly exposes unprofessionalism and dishonesty.

My Observations

If Adeel and Abid initially insisted parts needed replacement and I purchased them, how could Shyam later deny the need? This means I wasted AED 525 on parts that Battmobile themselves pushed me to buy.

Preventive replacements (air filters, AC filter, spark plugs) are essential in a Major Service – yet nothing was carried out. This was, at best, a Minor Service, misrepresented as a Major one.

Their driver drove my car for over 30 minutes (from Al Quoz to Town Square), only to casually tell me that the AC wasn’t working. Why was this not reported to the service team immediately?

Conclusion

It is very clear that Battmobile is indulging in:

False service promises

Misleading customers into unnecessary packages

Charging for services not performed

Refusing legitimate refunds

I now have zero trust in their company. When I asked them to charge me only for the minor work they did and refund the balance, they blatantly refused.

Final Request

I strongly urge for an investigation into Battmobile’s deceptive practices, so they can be stopped from promoting false offers and scamming innocent customers. I also request a partial refund of my amount, as I am no longer interested in dealing with this company.

UPDATE ON THE THIS ISSUE. 9 SEPT.2025

After my unpleasant experience with Battmobile, I decided to take my car to a different, well-known garage for a second opinion and proper servicing. The results spoke for themselves. Upon inspection, the mechanics confirmed that the only actual issue with my car was the brake pads, which needed replacement. The brake discs were in perfect condition and did not require polishing or replacement, as falsely suggested earlier.

In addition, the garage carried out a thorough service and replaced all other essential parts, including the AC filter, air filter, and spark plugs — and all of this was done for just AED 250. Even more impressive, the entire job was completed in just one and a half hours with complete transparency.

This experience makes it very clear that Battmobile misled me by exaggerating problems that did not exist, with the clear intention of overcharging. Their unethical practices and lack of honesty have cost me both time and frustration.

I strongly advise everyone to stay cautious and avoid Battmobile’s so-called services, as they are nothing but misleading and dishonest operators trying to take advantage of customers.

Disappointing Experience with Untrustworthy Management

I initially believed this was a reputable place to replace my battery and even considered signing up for one of their service packages. However, after visiting their location service center and speaking with the manager, I completely changed my mind. The management seems dishonest and unreliable completely.

And to be fair, I did meet a skilled and professional technician named “Hassan”, who initially gave me a positive impression of the company. But after interacting with the management, it became clear that they are willing to lie and rip you off if given the chance. My advice? Avoid them if possible. And if you must use their services, do not leave your car unattended, stay and watch the work being done and check on everything in another reliable service center after your work is done.

If I could give zero stars, I definitely would! I purchased a battery from them about two years ago, and the technician persuaded me to buy a service package that initially seemed like a great deal. Unfortunately, my experience with them was nothing short of a disaster.

When I scheduled my first service, I ended up waiting the entire day just for them to pick up my car. Then, what should have been a simple minor service—just an oil change and AC filter cleaning—somehow took them over a day and a half. The delays and lack of efficiency were beyond frustrating.

The package I purchased included four minor services and one major service, but to be honest, there was no real distinction between them. Since I had already spent a significant amount, I felt compelled to use it. When the time came for my major service, the manager reassured me that everything would be handled professionally. Yet again, they kept my car for two days, and when I requested a service report, all they provided was a single picture. I had to escalate the issue just to get a proper digital or printed copy, which should have been standard practice from the start.

At this point, it was obvious that they were only interested in taking money rather than providing any real quality service. The entire experience was filled with delays, poor communication, and a complete lack of professionalism.

My advice? Always check customer reviews before committing to a service. I wish I had done so beforehand. This company lacks honesty, respect, and proper service—they operate purely as a money trap, squeezing every penny they can from unsuspecting customers. I’ve already filed a complaint with consumer rights, and I hope others do the same to hold them accountable.

While sick I had go through this nightmare of experience with one Battmobile technician (Abdul Hasseb) He was an hour with the appointment and didn’t even informed and when he came he planning to use a wrong oil filter (Ford) and wasn’t even planning to tell me and wasn’t even planning to inform me about it but good i noticed!! When i confronted him he said i don’t have the right filter (mopar) so i’ll just use this. When i asked why, he started arguing. A very rude and aggressive guy to think all the issue was because of his professionalism and no work ethics.

I know battmobile has 4.8 ratings but this to me is very sub-Standard and I’m surprised with the behavior of the technician something that battmobile should not tolerate as this reflects back to them💯 I bought a battery with them and was encouraged to get their package which includes 2 minor service such as oil change.

I have communicated this to their call center several times, they are accommodating but never
Took action on everything they promised. I called them again and again, used their chatbot to to inquire for a call back.

I do not recommend to my friends and colleagues even to anyone!! If i could i would give them -5 stars for wasting 4 hours just for a simple oil change!! I will try now to get refund for this as at the end no service was done to my car but if even if a partial refund it will still be better than going theough the same again.

Almost killed me

Almost killed me. Had given my car for servicing and informed them that the ac gas needs to be topped up. When the car was returned to me the ac was not cooling. When inquired the staff told me that the ac has been topped up and I should drive the car for 10 days to see if it is cooling or not and then get it back to be checked for leaks. I drove the car in the heat for 10 days hoping the ac would cool but it did not. In between I called them back and insisted that they check the car for ac gas but they kept telling me to keep driving and it will cool. Driving in the heat almost killed me. Hence I took it a service center in the petrol station and they filled the gas in 2 mins and now the car cools like it’s Switzerland. When I called battmobile and asked them to explain, all they said was Oops Sorry ur next gas top up is on us ( PS They offered me something that I have already paid for in the service package) . The negligence from the almost costed me my life. If anyone feel what I am saying is not that relevant…please try driving for just 20 mins without turning on the ac in the car at around 2PM.

Dishonest and Expersive

I recently purchased a service package from BATT Mobile and had a very disappointing experience. I called for a battery replacement because my car wouldn’t start. They initially said they’d arrive in 30 minutes but showed up after an hour. Their prices are also much higher than competitors.

It turned out that the battery was fine and the issue was with the starting motor. I sent my car to their service center, expecting a call the next morning. I waited until 11 AM, called three times, and finally got a call at 1 PM asking for the registration card. It took the entire day to diagnose the issue, and I was quoted AED 1500-2500 for a repair I had previously done for under AED 800. When I mentioned the high cost, I decided to take my car back and was informed I needed to pay AED 200 for the inspection. This fee was not mentioned before, even though I had already bought a service package for AED 2400.

When I contacted support to cancel my service contract, I was told it was non-cancelable and non-refundable. This experience has been extremely frustrating and I feel misled by this company. I advise others to stay away from them.

Useless and faulty part replacement endangering my life

The part replaced was ABS which was fsullty and has really endangered my life on SZR . It was difficult controlling the land cruiser without ABS . I could have landed in an serous accident . Worse experience I’ve had with a car service. Asked them to come replace the battery for my car parked at home in which they told me within half hour the person will arrive. They say 30 minutes we’ll be there, they come after 2 hours. I ask for battery replacement he pushes Varta on me when I asked for Bosch, and tells me they are the same price and varta has longer warranty. I check online and it’s around 450 for the Bosch and other vendors I call, they say they don’t sell Varta because of customers complaints. very dishonest and bad service.

If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I bought a battery less than a year ago. When installed I was given this invoice that shows I have 1year warranty. The battery completely failed and now Batt Mobile are saying in order to claim the warranty, I have to show them a “WARRANTY CARD” which was not given to me. I wish there was less than one star.
Battery installed in the car does not match what they said they will install, they installed 80AH instead of 100AH. However they charged the same amount of money.
Technician refused to say the battery manufacturing date.. after i checked myself i found it to be December 2020! Very old battery!!
To make things worse i found a bigg scratch on the car and the technician said he does not know about it! I cant be sure 100% if it was him hitting the car by mistake with the battery or not.. but i am sure the scratch was not there this morning… never again.. it was a mistake calling this company.

Oil Change

Their process for an engine oil change is flawed. Sucking the oil out from the dipstick instead of draining and flushing through properly from the engine sump plug does not remove all dirt and particles at the lowest point of the sump; and with the engine then void of oil; driving the car onto two ramps to gain access to the oil filter, means the engine was started and operated with zero oil!

After replacing the engine oil and filter; the surplus / split oil left on the engine sump guard then proceeded to drip onto my garage floor for the next few days!

Good idea but some attention to detail required.
