Bakemart delivery & customer service

I have been ordering gluten-free products from Bakemart for many years, and the products themselves are good. Unfortunately, the delivery coordination and customer service have become increasingly frustrating.

Bakemart’s website refers to same-day delivery in Dubai, with orders placed at least two hours before the desired delivery time. In my experience, this has consistently not reflected the actual service, as orders are usually delivered the next day. I have learned to tolerate that gap between the advertised delivery expectation and the reality, although I do find it misleading. The more serious issue, however, is the lack of communication, ownership, and basic customer care when delivery concerns are raised.

With my recent order, the delivery was sent without properly confirming whether anyone would be available to receive it, and it arrived at an inconvenient time. When I raised the concern, I was told that the driver had called and nobody answered. However, if availability has not been confirmed, it makes little sense to send the driver anyway and then treat the lack of coordination as the customer’s problem.

What made the experience worse was the response. There was no proper acknowledgement of the inconvenience, no apology, and no reassurance that this would be handled better in future. Instead, the conversation felt defensive and argumentative. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told the manager was on leave.

As a long-standing customer, this is disappointing. Good products matter, but so do communication, accountability, and basic customer care. Bakemart should improve the way deliveries are scheduled and complaints are handled.

Order not fulfilled

I am giving this review due to a very unpleasant experience I had with bakemart artisan bakery. I ordered a tiramisu cake online on 29th Nov morning for delivery on 29th evening. The order number had been generated by bakemart and I rcvd an email stating order had been under process. I requested for Dlvry before 5 pm. Till 7 pm no calls what so ever from bakemart. Upon calling I was advised they didn’t rcv such an order and it might hv been a system error. So in short I didn’t hv a birthday cake to cut for my husband’s birthday. I asked for the manager to call me rgdn the same. So far no calls. My question is if you can’t process an order online, why have it at all. So disappointed and will never use bakemart. To kind attn of bakemart, if you go thru yr past 2 years you will see I had ordered birthday cakes only from there. Now forward you hv lost this customer.
