Bad experience with Pediatrics

I had to wait for atleast 1.5 hours in the lobby despite having an appointment .Consulted Dr Shagufta ,pediatrician for my 2.5 year old kid ,she had intense cough.The doctor prescribed some medicines ,the medicines were quite bitter in taste for a 2 year old kid to take in,generally the pediatric medicines have a sweet and fruity flavour ,so the kids can easily accept it.The cover of the medicines itself indicate that they are not meant for pediatrics purpose,sugar free and alcohol free.Twice I called and explained the doctor the problem ,but she prescribed the same brand with a bitter flavor base,later was told to mix the medicines in juice to give the kid.I did that too, but I cannot mix too much juice, so the medicine is diluted,I mixed a bit of it but the kid still identifies the flavour and refuses.Three days have gone by after the treatment is started ,my kid still coughs to her heart and is vomitting due to intense coughing.I feel so helpless.This prompts for nothing but to another hospital for a better treatment.

I visited the clinic for my 2 year old kid suffering with cough.It had to wait at least 1.5 hours despite having an appointment.Secondly the doctor,doctor Shagufta had prescribed some bitter medicines not meant for pediatric purpose to the two year old kid ,which completely refuses to take those bitter medicines.Thrice called and talked to her to change the brand which a better flavour,but in vain .Three days on I had showed this doctor ,my kid still coughs to heart and vomiting despite being on medicines.
Feel so helpless.

Blood test

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the poor service I experienced at your Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) branch during my recent visit.
1. Insurance and Payment Miscommunication:
I visited the clinic for a blood test that was not approved by my insurance. At the time, I clearly requested that if the test was not covered, someone should contact me so I could come in and make the payment. However, no one called to inform me. As a result, I had to return to the clinic after one hour myself just to pay for the test, which caused delays in processing the results that were urgently needed.
2. Call Center Mishandling:
I called your call center twice to inquire about my results:
• The first time, I was told the clinic would call me — no one ever did.
• The second time, the agent gave me the wrong patient name, told me the results weren’t ready, and again said the clinic would call — which never happened.
3. Delayed Appointment Time:
My appointment was scheduled for 1:40 PM, but I wasn’t seen by the doctor until 2:20 PM, which reflects a lack of proper scheduling and consideration for patients’ time

App is also not updated with the visit nor the test

This level of service is unacceptable, especially when dealing with urgent medical needs. I respectfully request that my results be prioritized and shared with me immediately, and that you investigate the lack of communication and mismanagement that occurred.

Medicine prescribed by doctor which are not included in insurance to get commission from the Pharma companies

I had a very frustrating experience at Aster Hospital Mankhool on April 1st 2025. When I arrived for my consultation, I checked and my insurance is active and got the ENT consultation and after that when I went to pharmacy for the medicine prescribed by doctor out of 5, 3 medicines are not even covered by the insurance. I was told that my insurance was not active in their system, and as a result, I had to pay out of pocket—which was quite expensive. This was already inconvenient, but things got worse when I tried to resolve the issue.
After leaving, I contacted my insurance agent and he mentioned Aster always have this issue and many patients complain regards with this.
This means the issue was entirely on Aster DM HEALTHCARE, yet the receptionist guy made no effort to check properly or investigate the situation. This lack of basic customer service and problem-solving was extremely disappointing.

The overall experience left me feeling like customer care was not a priority at the BIG BRAND “ASTER”.

I hope Aster management takes this kind of feedback seriously and improves their medical Care System and think for patient and not work for only money. I would never ever recommend anyone to visit ASTER and neither me in my life.

I had a very frustrating experience at Aster Arabian Ranches Souq on April 1st due to poor customer service at the reception. When I arrived for my consultation, I was told that my insurance was not active in their system, and as a result, I had to pay out of pocket—which was quite expensive. This was already inconvenient, but things got worse when I tried to resolve the issue.
After leaving, I contacted Aster Contact centre, and they confirmed that my insurance was indeed active. This means the issue was entirely on Aster Arabian Ranches Souq, yet the receptionist guy made no effort to check properly or investigate the situation. This lack of basic customer service and problem-solving was extremely disappointing.

To add to the frustration, when I requested the Emirates Medical Insurance claim form so I could at least submit my claim manually, the receptionist guy simply said their system was down. This was unacceptable because that form was all I needed to claim my consultation expenses.

The overall experience left me feeling like customer care was not a priority at this branch. A simple verification or a little extra effort from the receptionist could have saved me the trouble. I hope Aster management takes this kind of feedback seriously and improves staff training to ensure that customers are properly assisted, rather than left to deal with such avoidable issues on their own.

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding my recent experience at Aster Hospital, Al Nahda branch.

During my first visit, I was asked to undergo an inpatient scan. Later that same day, I was instructed to go to the King Faisal branch for another scan, with confirmation from the doctor that the results would be sent on the same day via taxi. However, I had to pay for the taxi out of pocket, which caused unnecessary expenses and stress, and ultimately wasted 2-3 days of my time.

After this, I was informed that the scan results were not properly taken, and I felt as though the communication between the two branches—Al Nahda and King Faisal—was not handled properly. It was clear that the scanning doctor at King Faisal had not been properly informed by the doctor at Al Nahda about the specifics of my case.

Despite waiting for 20 days without follow-up and not clear communication from the hospital, I was finally asked to where is my report then this doctor confirmed me this second reports recieved me personally so you will come to meet me again then i pay additional fees for another traveling before injections. After all this, I was ask herany issue for the preganancy they told me she is normal now no issue with basic care.

This entire process has been frustrating, stressful, and costly, and I am deeply dissatisfied with the lack of coordination and communication between the departments. I hope the hospital can address these issues and ensure better service and patient care in the future.

I really disappointment with the behaviour of one of your staff members, Ganpath Saahee, who is the lab approvals section. During my recent visit to your clinic, I received an unacceptable level of rudeness from him, which led me to leave without availing the diagnostic procedures.
The manner in which Mr. Saahee communicated with me was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. As a representative of your organization, his conduct reflects poorly on the clinic’s image and professionalism.
Regrettably, due to this negative experience, I have decided not to patronize any Aster clinics or hospitals in the future.
I hope that you will address this matter promptly to ensure that other patients do not encounter similar treatment in the future.

Dr Sagnik Chattopadhyay is NOT a good doctor

Dr Sagnik Chattopadhyay is NOT a good doctor in terms of practice and treatment.
When I had severe cough and fever, he barely enquired about anything else, as in if I have wheezing or throat pain, etc. Since I already have history of such symptoms, I remembered to tell.
What if it didnt cross my mind? I am not a doctor.  He didnt even check my breathing with a stethoscope. And everyone knows thats a standard practice when you have cough to check if you wheezing.

My condition didnt get better after days and I had to see another doctor.

And in terms of practice, he prioritises which patients to check (as in friends or other contacts) and doesn’t even care if a person has taken appointment. This happened to my relative. He had to wait for more than an hour despite taking PRIOR appointment and health was very bad. The walk in patients were getting priority because of personal connections.
Even they had the same experience as mine with this fellow.

Also he doesnt seem to like to get up and check patients. And what kind of doctor keeps the patients’ seats far from his table ? This is a person who has got no code of conduct or empathy.

Dont expect a good diagnosis or treatment from this doctor, ESPECIALLY if you dont have any connections with him.
Total WASTE of MONEY & TIME with this one.

I was attended with OBGYN dr Suma at aster clinic Garden she put me in ultra sound when I was just had 8 weeks pregnant and I went next day again just to correct some mistakes in report she put me on ultrasound again 2 days straight and it was no risks pregnancy, it was just check up i hope my baby will have no any issues, as I learn ultra sound it has a heat wave which is not friendly with early pregnancy and 2 days straight , I don’t recommend this OBGYN at all, and I had very good experience with Dr Abishesk Anand eternal Dr he’s so friendly and professional i was just feeling like I am talking to my friend when I had consultation with him

Bad Treatment

On Nov 12th I visited Aster Muteena due to slight burning sensation in stomach. Doctor gave me a medicine which is called Pylera. After having two dose I had a very bad headache, fingers swelling and pain together with slight chest pain. I stopped the medicine and visited clinic again and he referred me to dermatology due to medicine reaction. She gave me injection and medicine and recommended for some test. And I was informed that someone will call me to update on my test report but still no one called me. I even called call center to let them call me but no one responded. I am still having headache, slight chest pain and finger paid/swelling. Looking for the immediate answer from Aster on how they will make my health normal and get rid of this medicine reaction.

First of all the medicine provided to me for minor issue was very strong became I have consulted with doctor in India by sending the reports. Here I found misguided in terms of treatment and there is no update later on my test report after the follow up. I cannot imagine how Aster can provide very bad services and treatment to patient. No one has the right to neglect the other life. If something goes wrong to me than I will definitely take the legal help.

Sorry to say but it’s a very bad experience in my 16 years period in UAE.

Avoid!! I had the worst experience with this clinic. The information they provided about the costs was wrong. They told us consultation included the sick leave fees but it didn’t. They harassed me with emails and messages asking to pay and they didn’t take responsibility for their mistake. I had to chase customer service to explain the problem over and over. One agent of the customer service even laughed at me which was not acceptable. I’ve spoken with at least 3 different people and every time they were not aware of my situation. Some of them told me they had fixed it and I was going to receive the sick leave note in the morning but it was a lie. In the morning I just received a call asking to pay again. This place is to avoid at all costs. If you had a similar experience please share because treating people in need of medical help like this is just a shame! They only want your money. They don’t care about you at all. Shame!

I had an appointment at Pavilion Aster clinic at 3 pm and they made me wait for long. I had to approach a receptionist to check out if doctor was there or not. It was not within her power to ask doctor to assist me. However she tried to help me.

Doctor was having meeting with some other person who is not Even a patient.
Doctors first duty is to attend to the patient who is in need. That’s y we visit doctors.

Recommending Dr. Arijit Audhya – ENT surgeon at Aster, Dubai

I recently underwent endoscopic sinus surgery with Dr. Arijit Audhya, ENT surgeon at Aster Mankhool Hospital. I must say that the entire experience, from pre-surgery instructions to the surgery itself and post-operative care, was handled exceptionally well.

I had been diagnosed with nasal polyps, a lack of smell, and inflamed sinuses. Initially, as an Indian, I was hesitant to have the surgery in Dubai and was considering exploring options in India. However, after thorough evaluation, I was convinced of the excellent infrastructure and process at Aster, especially with Dr. Arijit’s impressive track record of successful sinus surgeries.

Dr. Arijit’s took the time to explain the procedure in detail, ensuring that I had a clear understanding of what to expect. His reassuring demeanor and empathetic nature helped alleviate any anxiety I had prior to the surgery.

For those contemplating surgery in a foreign country, it’s important to consider that proper post-operative care is equally crucial for the overall success of the procedure.

Dr. Arijit and his team made the entire process comfortable and were extremely diligent in their post-operative follow-up. Within a week of the operation, I noticed a remarkable improvement in my sense of smell, and the sinus pain had subsided. I am immensely grateful to Dr. Arijit for taking my case and providing exceptional care.

Complaint regarding my experience at Aster Clinic – Al Muteena Branch

To begin with, the entire experience at the clinic was marred by significant delays. I was made to wait for an extended period, being told that the delay was due to insurance approval. However, upon further inquiry, I discovered that the actual cause of the delay was Dr. Shila’s failure to complete the necessary paperwork regarding my marital Status and other pertinent information in a timely manner. This negligence resulted in a substantial inconvenience for me and added to the already challenging situation of being far away from my family and lacking their support during my illness.

In addition to the delays, the overall attitude and conduct of the staff at Aster Clinic – Al Muteena Branch left much to be desired. I was treated more like a burden than a patient in need of care. The way Maria, the receptionist, spoke to me lacked even a basic level of politeness or empathy. It is of utmost importance for a receptionist to exhibit kindness and understanding, particularly when dealing with individuals who are unwell and experiencing difficult circumstances. Unfortunately, Maria’s behavior fell drastically short of these expectations, leaving me feeling even more distressed and unsupported.

Furthermore, during the process of checking my blood, Maria took my phone without permission and proceeded to leave her own review using my device. This act was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. It was apparent that her motivation behind this action was to counteract the potential negative reviews that she may have anticipated due to her own behavior. Such actions only served to further confirm her lack of consideration for the pain and discomfort I was experiencing.

Moreover, I must highlight Dr. Shila’s repeated lack of commitment and professionalism. On one occasion, she was late by two hours for my scheduled appointment for the Surgery , despite the Hospital manager being aware of this issue. This delay forced me to wait in discomfort for an extended period, causing unnecessary distress and inconvenience.

While I initially chose to overlook these shortcomings, today’s incident was the final straw. A few days ago, Maria called me to schedule a follow-up appointment with Dr. Shila to discuss my test results and seek additional consultations after my surgery. I informed her that I could not come on Wednesday due to work commitments and requested an appointment on Thursday. Maria confirmed that Dr. Shila’s schedule remained the same. However, when I arrived at the clinic today at 10 am, I was informed by the receptionist that Dr. Shila’s schedule was from 12 pm to 7 pm. Although I was willing to wait, the situation became unbearable when, at 11:30 am I took My Token Number and Did a check up For my Blood , weight and I sit out Side until I am called to see the Dr Sheila , then Maria informed me that Dr. Shila would be further delayed and suggested that I return after 3 pm. This level of disregard for patients’ time and well-being is simply unacceptable. I visit the clinic for medical care and support, not for leisure or entertainment purposes.

I want to stress that my dissatisfaction extends beyond professional concerns; it is about the lack of basic humanity and consideration displayed throughout my interactions with the clinic staff. As a patient seeking medical assistance, I expected a certain level of care and compassion, which unfortunately, I did not receive during my visits to Aster Clinic – Al Muteena Branch.

Today we went to Aster Clinic Abushagara in Sharjah, it was very bad experience. There was only one GP doctor available. And they were still giving the appointment to the patients. They sud hve send back the patients or tell them they cannot accomodate them , why so much waiting when you are aready in pain. I could have easily visit prime or icare clinic . Actually they take ur money for registration at first and make people wait fr 4 hours .i literally spend my time without food the whole day …atleast let people knw exact time so that i can eat and come back …literally ignoring the walk in patients …this is terible never returning back.

I would not recommend this clinic as I waited for 2hours just to get sick leave paper and the doctor in a cabinet #5 is a real pain in the ass, he doesn’t care about patients and I’d rather die at work then come over again. Wasted time and money

Great experience with Aster clinic Business bay especially with Dr. Abdel Raouf Foud and Mr. Wassim

I had a great experience at Aster Business Bay Clinic. From the start, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist Mr. Wassim who was very kind and supportive until I visited the Doctor. Following a very short wait time, I was greeted by Dr. Abdel Raouf Fouad who I must say was very welcoming and caring for all my needs and concerns. He is very knowledgeable and was able to give me a thorough diagnosis and treatment in my visit. I would like to thank the clinic as a whole and especially Dr. Abdel Raouf and Mr. Wassim for the great care they have offered me.

Avoid Aster Clinic Business Bay if you can

My wife had the worst experience ever at the business bay clinic today
The dr. who saw my wife was rude, telling her to put her mask to cover her nose as it was on her chin. which is fine if its said respectfully. He would not go near her and just slammed the curtain around her and just told her to breathe in and out and from a distance put the swab down her throat. Within 60 seconds he said she had a virus and prescribed a carrier bag of medicine including anti biotics(your not suppose to take anti biotic if you have a virus) and he left. This is not how you treat patients. Having lived in the Uae for 18 years and enjoyed great service from the healthcare industry. Today was a shocker.
Avoid Dr. Abdelraouf, an unprofessional doctor who showed no empathy to a patient who was not well.

Defenetely an amazing experience with Dr. Anushree at Aster clinic dear Dafza Metro Station during my treatment. They went an extra mile and too the best care of me.We visited clinic last week for Dr Anushree. Mr. Vignesh (reception/customer care) who helped us to get approval from insurance company. Not responsive staff and clinic, waited almost a weak just to get online sick leave and giving foolish reason that server is down, all my colleagues got done on same time in different clinics in same period, finally found out the were not applying for my leave as they are busy with their responsive task, 2nd time when i did PCR test they didn’t send my report and not even any message even after 24 hour’s as they mentioned before, when i calle dcustomer care they just said to wait and no response, i send email as well but it was useless, they are busy to making money not to give service on standard level

Aster clinic offers a perfect and unique feature which is teleconsultation. My husband was tired two days ago and we heard about the teleconsultation. My husband called them and booked an appointment through the phone. The doctor called him yesterday and asked about the symptoms he had. Today the clinic sent the medications required to our home! Incredible!
