My Shocking Experience With Dr. Christelle Abboud

Today, I had a deeply disappointing experience during my pregnancy appointment with Dr. Christelle Abboud, as I prepare for my very first delivery, which is scheduled in the coming months.

First, from the moment my husband and I entered the consultation room, we were poorly welcomed. Dr. Abboud didn’t even bother to greet my husband, which I see as a clear lack of respect.

Second, since this is my first pregnancy, I am naturally inexperienced and very anxious about the delivery process and especially the postpartum period. I asked several questions to better understand these crucial steps. Unfortunately, her responses made my husband and me feel that my questions were unnecessary or “silly.” Worse still, she even laughed at some of my concerns, which deeply hurt me to the point where I felt tears welling up.

Third, during the ultrasound, I was absolutely shocked. While analyzing my baby, she answered a phone call and began chatting and laughing with a friend. This behavior, during such an important medical appointment, left me completely speechless.

Fourth, her condescending attitude wasn’t limited to us. She also spoke very disrespectfully to her assistant during the consultation, which only reinforced the negative experience my husband and I had.

To conclude, I want to highlight that I have been following my pregnancy at another clinic in Dubai, where everything went very smoothly. Unfortunately, they do not handle deliveries, which is why I came to Al Zahra Hospital for this consultation.

I am leaving this appointment even more stressed than I was before, filled with frustration and deep disappointment. As a future mother, all I want is to give my baby the best start in life. But today, I felt as though my emotions, fears, and needs didn’t matter at all. For a first pregnancy, this appointment should have been a source of comfort, but instead, it left me feeling hurt and full of uncertainty.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing outstanding care for my son, particularly thanks to Nurse Ed, Dr. Sanjay Bhat’s (Consultant Urologist) nurse assistant. Although he was not the assigned floor nurse during our hospital stay, his dedication to patient care had a significant impact on our experience.

From the very beginning, Nurse Ed took the initiative to arrange the circumcision schedule and set up the anesthesia appointment for my son. His efficiency and proactive approach helped ease our worries during what can often be a stressful process for parents. Nurse Ed’s thorough communication ensured we understood every step leading up to the procedure, which was both reassuring and appreciated.

Al zahra Pharmacy is not efficient

I showed to gastroentologist in end march and since then didnt recieved My medicine macrolax ,which i am supposed to take on daily basis.3 boxes of macrolax was prescribed by doctor and i just recieved 1 box ,which gets over in 20days .its 5th of may today.so more then a month ,the medicine is not delivered .I am following since then,they r continuosly giving excuses that the medicine is not there,and its available in other pharmacy.either they have taken from them and give it to me or they could have arranged the prescription from doctor and i could hve took directly by other pharmacy so that can get insurance claim as well.
Its really unproffessional way and not good for patients who are on regular medicines .

I have brought my 1 year old daughter with breathing difficulty and the emergency staff quickly took care of her. I will be forever grateful to Dr Mustafa Mohamed, because he asked for the right investigation and found out she was having a pneumonia, while I was taking her 2 days in a row to another clinic who said she doesn’t have anything serious. He took her conditions so seriously that he strongly advised to keep her at the hospital. 3 days later she is much better now and healed.

About Two years ago I accompanied my wife to Al Zahra Hospital emergency Dept. about 5AM & it was Extremely horrible experience, My wife was almost faint & the doctor ignored her entirely , when we asked him to show more care since she was in deep pain, he replied rudely what can i do, i gave her an injection, if u want to leave hospital so go, waving his hand in an un-respected manner. I have complained to management at that time but no response.
Pharmacy waiting time may extend to 1 hour.
I have never gone to that hospital since then & don’t think i will go again.

Worse ER experience

Worst ER experience ever .
Date of hospital visit -5th Jan 2020
This will be a long review but am hoping it prevent some other family from going through what we just went through .
We are parents of twin baby boys . 20 months old
One of my sons spiked a high fever 40.2 degrees and after a PCR tested positive for COVIDon the 4th of Jan. The next morning the second twins spiked a similarly high fever of 40 degrees .
Both twins were rushed to the ER of Al Zahara hospital upon the request of their pediatrician as we could not control the fever at home .
We arrived at the ER at 15:00hrs and were made to wait with other patients in the waiting area ( this after I told the receptionist that one of the boys was positive.
We were then taken to a room to await admission . We sat in that room for 6.5 hrs with both boys having a high fever. Within the 6.5hrs wait they came and took blood for a full CBC and COVID swap .Turns out the nurses who took the blood had forgotten to submit the sample for testing and left them in the room . This was only realized by the next shift .
Within the 6.5 hrs wait , the nurses told us they were waiting for insurance approval before the twins could be admitted .This turned out to be
LIE. The hospital has not even submitted the claim . Reason which We would come to find out later from one of the staff was that hospitals had received a directive not to admit “non severe COVID cases “ and as a deterrent to hospitals insurance companies would only pay minimal cost to the Hospital if they did. So the hospital sat on our claim and never sent it across to the insurance it also did not inform us but rather kept saying it awaiting approval. Only when my wife started shouting did someone from the management team get the ball rolling . The claim was submitted by the hospital 5 hours after we had arrived snd not asap as they claimed .
The moment health care became only about money then this hospital made a conscious effort to put my babies life at risk .
This broke my heart today to feeling so vulnerable and helpless to a system that isn’t designed to help but rather try and squeeze as much money as they can from the patient .
If u are reading this then I pray you don’t make the same mistake by going to this hospital.
We ended up having to leave the hospital in the end cause it got late with no hope and kids were am exhausted.

PCR test not delivered for travel

I came to use your PCR Drive thru 10 HOUR GUARANTEED service. I called ahead of time to confirm that 10 hours was possible. I arrived and waiting in line for 2 hours to get the test. I called at 15 hours (2.5 hours before my flight) to ask where my results were urgently and was told they weren’t ready. I managed to change my flight to a later one by 2 hours to give them slightly more time incurring additional transportation costs on my end. 2 hour later I still have no results. The first person I spoke to is no longer on shift in the lab and only sent the one request. The second person hasn’t been able to reach anyone to flag the results as of urgent. The level of customer care or concern for what the lab guaranteed multiple times as 10 hours has been horrific not to mention the level of false security communicated by guaranteed per advertisement and per the staff at the drive-thru.
