They will never return your car deposit even though you returned the car without any issue. I’ve been complaining for 1 year and also raised my concern to DED but i was advised to go to court as so maby complaints were already filed againts them.
Never rent a car here.

*Absolutely terrible experience with Al Mizan Car Rental.*
They are completely unprofessional and dishonest. I returned the car in perfect condition, but they never refunded my deposit. Every time I called, I was told “tomorrow” or “next week” it’s just excuse after excuse. It’s been weeks and still nothing.

They clearly have no intention of refunding customers properly. This seems to be a recurring scam. Avoid at all costs these people are unreliable, incompetent, and behave like outright scammers. Rent elsewhere if you don’t want to lose your money.

SCAM!!! Unprofessional car Rental service

In short, this company is a scam company most likely affiliated with money laundry. They would not return my deposit for 2 months and only when i visited their sketchy location after 2 months of trying to call, email and message.. it had to be done physically. I threatened them to call the police and after 2 + hours of arguing they agreed to give me the money in cash and have it delivered to their Alqouz location ( where i returned the car but apparently not their office, despite how large of a sign they have outside) only because I refused to get into a van with one of their drivers to go to a ” secret location” where they can only give the money there. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Over all the car hired was good new and clean, the service from the staff ok. The car was returned in perfect condition.
However they refuse to talk to me about returning my deposit, I was given an email and another number to contact and dispute phone calls, that are not being answered, emails not being replied to, WhatsApp’s that are not being read by the person in charge and other WhatsApps that are now not being replied to, it will be a battle to have my 1500 aed returned.
I would not recommend using them as they will not return deposit.

I have rented a car from Al Mizan Car Rental in December in Dubai. The rental finished in the beginning of January 2024. Since then (7 months +) the company is not returning the deposit (1000 AED)

I’ve already filed the complaint to Dubai Consumer Rights organisation, I’ve been at their office more than 1.5 months ago – they promised to help. But all they do is stop answering.

The company employees all act as if they will help, but this is all done to make me wait more. They never call back, they don’t pick up the phone. Now all of the contact phone numbers will not pick up the phone from me.

I visited Dubai in December 2023. Not the first time, I lived in Dubai for 3 years, and visited few times afterwords. This time I made a mistake to rent a car from Al Mizan Dubai. It’s been 6 months, they have not returned my balance of security deposit. They kept AED 1300, later they shared calculation with me that AED 930 will be returned, I agreed with their calculation. Since then, I have been following up with them through every possible channel to get the due amount back, but they are just avoiding, and making false statements that they are going to rerun the amount soon. Now they have completely stopped responding. Never get caught by them, please be careful.

I rented a car in the period from 30 September 2023 to 07 October 2023. License plate number 38928 model M-JAC S3. I sent emails on the dates: 11-16-23, 12-01-23, 12-03-23, 12-06-23, 12-07-23, 10-12-23, 12-12-23, 27- 12-23, 16-01-24, 23-01-24. I then sent dozens of Whats App messages. They’re big big big players and liars till the maximum, they don’t refund your deposit until you call them on daily basis, when you call they ask you to send an email, then for the rent papers, then your IBAN, then again your name, your ID, your bank name and again account number… and all this by emails, and every time you should remind them. After 100 day, I reported them to Dubai Costumer care (مستهلك دبي) and at the same day they refund my deposit. Bench of none professional kids are managing this company, I’m sure if their local sponsor knew that, he will kick them out.

I asked for a Tucson and they delivered a different car. For the return their location is odd. Customer service is pathetic and impolite.
Deposit placed with them, is not returned even after 47 days, customer service plays with the words. First of all 30 days deposit return policy is a 30 business days. Secondly, customer has to reach to the accounts department to get the refund back. Absolutely nightmare to use this company. I will never recommend anyone to go to these crooks, in fact their business should be banned in UAE.

Company tried to overcharge me for an additional day of rental, had to prove to them and then they state it was a technical error, very convenient. It has been 49 days since I rented the car. Company says the refund will be processed on the 22nd July, it is the 31st and money has not yet been refunded. 1) first download Dubai consumer (yellow icon) .
2) in this app you need to make a complaint .
3) with the reference number of the complaint you send an email to Dubai police telling them the details .
4) the Dubai police will reply back to you promptly!
5) they will guide you to email tourists Police, who in matter of less than 24 hours will make sure that your money is in your bank account.
PS: keep a copy from the deposit receipt coz this is what’s needed the most .

Folgendes ist passiert: Die haben das Fahrzeug gegen Gebühr zum Flughafen gebracht. Nicht desto trotz musste ich beim Verlassen des Flughafens die Gebühren des Flughafens zusätzlich aus eigener Tasche begleichen. Am Ende habe ich es verrechnet mit dem Fahrzeugbringer. Der wollte von uns auch mehr Geld für irgendwelche Mautgebühren, die mir zu hoch vorkam, also bat ich um Rechnung und Auflistung, die er nicht zur Hand hatte. Jetzt kommt der Höhepunkt. Er wollte mir die Kaution von fast 400€ nicht zurückgeben und machte mich auf die Vertragsvereinbarung aufmerksam, dass die Kaution nach 30 Tagen auf das hinterlegte Konto gebucht wird. Wir haben Mai (5Monate vergangen) und immer noch kein Geld. Sie reagieren weder auf Email noch auf WhatsApp Nachrichten. Das sind Verbrecher und müssen bestraft werden. Wenn irgendjemand uns helfen kann an unser Geld zu kommen, bitte ich mich zu kontaktieren.

I filed twice and got refunded this week after 6 months. I got a phone call from consumer rights this morning to confirm I was refunded, they are aware of Al Mizan bad practice and have threatened them with a heavy fine. My thanks to them for addressing this issue.

Worst car rental company I have ever used

Reserved a car with them in mid-December in Dubai, only to be told 30 mins after the car was meant to be delivered that its unable! Gave me very little options and not bothered at all that its a service we relied heavily on. In the end after much back and forth the only option they gave me was to PAY MORE for another car which wasnt the same.

Now, they took a deposit of 3000 dhs which was mean to be returned 5 weeks ago and hasnt. Have sent multiple messages on their WhatsApp business account which are being read but no response.

I will be taking this up further with authorities but I would AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs.

3 ноября брал nissan altima. Выслали фотографии машины в отличной комплектации, но сказали что привезут такую же, но в другом цвете.
привезли машину в плохой комплектации, более того в машине не работала 1 фара, машину всё время тянуло влево, больше 80 км/ч ужасный гул, повортник не работал… в общем понятно что машина была в большой аварии и ее восстановили плохо.
на следующий день я сдал машину. И сказали что залог (1500 Aed) вернут через 30 дней.
через 30 дней никто и ничто мне не вернул. я им писал, сначала они отвечали на письма, что операция в процессе, затем написали что вернут только 1469. 31 – снимут за какие то штрафы… но доказательства штрафов не прислали. но я согласен уже и на 1469. но когда вернут не отвечали. а потом перестали даже отвечать. в общем прошло больше 3 месяцев, а деньги они так и не вернули. написал в полицию.

I rented a vehicle for 2 weeks and returned it on September 23, 2022. I was informed that I would receive my AED1500 (U$410) after 30 days. It’s been over 12 weeks and no refund.

I’ve emailed [email protected] and sent WhatsApp messages numerous times and have gotten NO RESPONSE.

This is completely unacceptable and dishonest.

They were very responsive when I booked online and quick to process my credit card. The initial car I borrowed the battery died after 2 days and they took an entire day to replace it which they only did after I blasted them on social media. BAD SERVICE is the norm for this company.

Avoid this company, you will be disappointed.

They will cheat you at first that Insurance is included and upon delivery of the car will inform you that you need to pay extra for the complete insurance.
The Deposit amount they are not interested to return back, will not take your call not reply to your emails. So if you are paying any deposit as refundable don’t expect it back, in any case they will charge you.
Top of everything the attitude is the biggest issue if you are lucky enough that you got hold to someone on call that person will threaten you to do what every you want to “bring police or bring them here”

If you are looking for full year stress and losing money so do save small amount that in starting schemes much in compression to well known names but trust me at the end of the day you will lose more.

Al Mizan Car Rental is not reputable and trusted car rental company. I had rented the car and gave me a very bad quality car. On top of that when calling about following up for the credit card refund, no one was answering the phone even hundred times of calls. And calling and sending messages to the person named Mr. Adeel, was in vain. What I did I went to the office itself to find out the update of my refund, the employees were unaware or pretending about the issues. With my frustration, I created a scene and all of a sudden their account who was not responding to my calls were able to respond and said that they were not answering the calls because they were busy. Finally, they confirmed in writing that they will return my refund. They did it because I told them to do so and I will not leave their office unless I receive a guarantee in writing. If not I will call the police for assistance. Anyway, I got my refund after 2 ( two months ) to be exact.

In view of the above, I a writing this review to give an alarm to the people who would take rent a car. Better avoid patronizing this such company. They are not supposed to be working in United Arab Emirates because their ruining the reputation of the country. I live in Dubai for such along time but I never experience this such very irresponsible and very bad customer service. It’s just a pity you a company can not survive and cannot be successful if the way of treatment is as bad as this. There is a saying that goes “ word of mouth is the most effective advertising “. Good luck to you guys I hope it will not happen to other people what I have gone through.

We hired a car for 3 days and they do not block your credit card, they charge it 1500 and you will not see your money back. They hope you are a tourist and well. They say they give it back in 30 days. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN. They also say all these reviews online are from their competition. I can tell you know I work in healthcare and am not in competition. We reported them to the police, but they can’t do much. But reporting them to Dubai Economic Department DED and Dubai Consumers (download app), is the only way these guys will be put out of business. THESE PEOPLE ARE GIVING DUBAI A VERY VERY BAD NAME and need to be put out of business. The worse part of all of this is the guy touched my wife’s leg in the car ‘accidentilly’ – STAY AWAY!!!!!
